Bonjour Jean-Pierre,
Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Your honest feedback is invaluable as it helps us identify areas for improvement, ensuring we continue to grow and enhance our tours.
We're pleased to hear you appreciated the selected historical sites and the high-quality local products we showcase, aiming to represent the best of Southwestern French cuisine.
However, we regret to learn that some elements of the tour didn't meet your expectations. For clarity, I'd like to address a few points. The detailed description of our 3.5-hour outdoor walking tour, highlighting its itinerary through Toulouse's city center and the necessity for continuous walking, was explicitly mentioned in our product description on TripAdvisor/Viator, as well as in the confirmation and reminder emails we sent. These messages specifically recommended that "Comfortable shoes are a must, as we'll be on our feet throughout the entire tour." Therefore, downgrading the rating of our experience due to the absence of indoor seating and minimal walking seems to be a misunderstanding of the tour's clearly communicated format.
Regarding the culinary experience, our tour offers seven premium gourmet samples, exceeding the average provided by similar food tours at a comparable price, which typically include four to five tastings. The assortment of delicacies you experienced, such as macarons craquelés, chocolatine, a starter featuring rillettes d'oie, a main course made with white beans and saucisse de Toulouse, a cheese board, a bottle of wine, a dessert, and a petit four, is designed to replicate the format of a full gastronomic tasting menu. We are proud of the diversity, quality, and generosity of our culinary offerings.
We hope this explanation provides clarity on the structure and content of our tour. Thank you once again for choosing the Toulouse Food & History Tour with a Chef. We look forward to the opportunity to offer you more enjoyable travel experiences in the future.
À la prochaine !
