Although it was a long journey, the trip was memorable and enjoyable thanks to the members of our tour. We were accompanied by two lovely couples and our main driver and tour guide, Fernando. He was an enthusiastic and entertaining guide who shared funny jokes and stories connected to the places we visited throughout the trip. My highlight of the trip was the Mondsee lake, where the Sound of Music was filmed. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place that I would love to visit again to stay a few more days in the future. In addition to Fernando, Christine was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide who provided us with lots of information about Hallstatt. We were a bit tight on time (as the village was getting crowded) and had to skip lunch to ensure that we visited the Skywalk. I would like to highlight how impressed I was with Christine and Fernando for translating into Spanish for one couple who weren't fluent in English throughout the whole trip.
Very little time in Hallstatt

The title of the trip is "Hallstatt Trip" but very little Hallstatt on this tour. We got really disappointed since this is quite an expensive tour and you end up wasting so much time on little stops instead of actually going to Hallstatt. They make you stop for breakfast when you of course already ate, then you visit 2 lakes and one little town with very little to see. You end up only reaching Hallstatt around 1pm, you're already hungry for lunch but you go on a tour guide for 1 hour. We ended the tour around 2:15pm and they tell you we leave at 4:15pm, so that leaves you 2 free hours in Hallstatt!! You're so hungry by then you waste at least half an hour eating. We did everything in a rush, we only had time to go up to Skywalk and run back down again. We felt we payed so much and never got the chance to actually experience such a beautiful town.

Dear Melanie_M, Thank you very much for your review. Please note that your group followed the schedule as it is promoted on several platforms. This includes a couple of stops in the Lake Region (e.g., in Unterach am Attersee and St. Gilgen) before reaching Hallstatt. The breakfast stop (15-25 minutes) is included in the tour not just because many Customers appreciate the early morning coffee, but because many hotels do not serve breakfast before the pick-up time for the trip (starting at 6:45am). Our groups, usually, arrive in Hallstatt at around 12:45pm and are welcomed by a local tour guide who goes with the Customers for a walking tour of approx. 1 hour. As the group leaves at 4:15pm, the total time our Customers spend in the town is approx. 3.5 hours. As Hallstatt is located 300kms away from Vienna (3 hours drive in one direction), this is pretty much the most we can do out of this trip. If Customers would like to enjoy at least half a day in Hallstatt, this day trip is clearly not for them. In order to avoid future disappointments of this nature, we would recommend you to read through the details of the service before you make your final booking decision. Great trip. Long day. Adequate stops along the way at the destination. Drive drove pretty fast but he was trying to keep people engaged. Nice to get out of the bustle of vienna for a day. Small group like this is a must.

Excellent trip! Our guide, Fernando, was very energetic and informative. He also kind enough to make sure everyone have what they need. The trip was fun and gave you a chance to see more of Austria. The trip duration is also perfect. The van is also nice

It was a perfect trip, group was small and van was comfortable with a smooth drive and great guide. Lakes visited were perfect and the tour in Hallstatt and time spent there were great and not rushed.

It was a long drive from Vienna but I'm glad I did this. Everyone in my group is lovely! Our driver Fernando made the trip safe all throughout, without any issues. He was also sharing bits and pieces about Vienna and Austria. Christiana, our guide in Hallstatt, shared how they live in the village. I wouldn't have gone to where she took us if I didn't book this tour. I recommend the tour especially if you're travelling solo.

The tour is really good , it stops at beautiful places, however the driver/guide was terrible , driving super fast , almost fell asleep while driving , always on the phone , everyone was super scared of the 3 hours drive. We make the driver stop in order to wake him up and get to wienna safe. It should have been an awesome tour , but it turned to be a nightmare because of the driving

Marco was a great host and guide. We travelled yhrough and stopped at a few little towns on the way to Hallstatt. He was very knowledgeable of the area and very helpful throughout the day.

This is a beautiful drive through the Vienna woods and countryside into the mountains and lakes to the small villages that are postcard worthy. I chose this tour because of the stops included on the way to Hallstatt. Our driver Fernando was wonderful explaining what we were seeing and then at each lake stop we had time to walk around and take pictures which he did for us. It is an all day event and Fernando was a pleasant and safe driver. The lunch stop he brought us to was fantastic and St Gilgen was a charming little town. The long drive to Hallstatt was worth the trip. It is truly a special place and I was glad we had a guide for an hour to explain and show us the highlights. We then had 2 hours to enjoy shopping or the salt mine or the skywalk. I hope you book and enjoy this trip as much as I did.

The trip was good, we enjoy the views and Hallstatt, despite that it was snowing at the time we got there. Our tour guide Peter was nice, well informed and patience, he did not rush us at any moment. We really had a good time!

Our guide Peter was excellent and provided so much interesting history about the Lake District. We stopped in Saint Gilgan and the local Christmas Market was delightful. Our local guide in Hallstatt was also excellent, and the village is stunning. It was wet and chilly during our visit, but still 100% worth it! We had a wonderful lunch at a local cafe recommended by our guide and enjoyed wandering the village shops!
