Great Driver and Guide, but a very long day

Let me start by saying it was a VERY long day and I probably would not have done it all in one day if I could do it over. Also it was a Tuesday in April and the crowds were intense. Nevertheless, our driver Bellag was fantastic, and our local tour guide in Prague, Marketa, was also great. She walked us around all over the place, which we loved, and showed us so many things. (compared to the day trip to Budapest where it is a Hop on Off style tour and no walking, which was not fun.)

This is a small group tour from Vienna to Prague. Everything went smoothly. The communication from White Alligator Tours on what to expect was timely and clear. The tour guide at Prague - Christoff was amazing ! He was professional and answered any questions we had. The guide from Vienna to Prague Balazs was very knowledgeable. During the drive he patiently explained all the significant places we would pass by. I highly recommend this tour ! I would give it 5 stars out of 5 !

Nice Trip to Prague from Vienna

We are glad we took a full day trip to Prague from Vienna. Marco the driver was an experience driver/guide. We had a nice ride to and from Prague. It was a plus having a local guide Hanna to walk us through the old town. So Marco can take a break from a 3.5 hour drive. It is a pleasant experience with Marco and Hanna. Highly recommended this tour.

One day trip to Prague

We booked our day trip to Prague via Viator. The tour company hired by them was good one with a helpful guide cum driver . We were only given a walking tour around the main attractions of the city . No city tour by the van which took us there. By afternoon, the weather changed and it became too cold & also started raining . The free time which was given by the tour operator proved to be a waste because of bad weather. We all kept waiting on the footpath for the driver in that nasty weather. It could have been planned in a better manner .

Kindly note that your group was provided the same approx. 2-hours long walking tour in Prague (in the product’s description) that every other Customer, signing up for the Prague Small-Group Day Trip from Vienna, gets. Because the historic part of Prague is a pedestrian area, we can’t drive you around by van and you need to walk around with a tour guide. Our Customers have free time (2.5-3 hours) from the end of the walking tour until they get picked up in the afternoon at around 4:00pm. As for the weather we can’t do much, but next time we are trying to consult the Weather God in advance so that there should be convenient weather for everyone’s preferences. Marcus was our driver and he was wonderful! Very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. We very much enjoyed the time we spent with him. Kathy was our guide in Prague and she was very informative and passionate about her home. After spending the afternoon with her we all wished we had devoted several days in Prague.

Balasz was a great driver who gave us so much information on the ride to Prague. When we got to Prague, Cathy was so kind and really made sure she made the most of our time in the city. While it is only a short time, I highly recommend spending this time in Prague!

Was very disappointed that there was not another hour's time. By the time we got done, you weren't able to do hardly any shopping with lunch or wander into a few areas. Also very disappointed that we were not able to go into the church. I feel a ticket should have been provided for this. Because that window in it is spectacular. Also trying to find our pick up point. Took another half hour and 40 minutes of our time. It was not clear enough and should have been pointed out at the very beginning Or given a card with the name and address. Was also confused on the rate of exchange and the currency if they could have just briefed us on what it was to the Euro or the dollar. Guides were fantastic with their history information. Enjoyed their input for the most part.

Great day trip to Prague which was a beautiful city! The drive is a bit on the long side from Vienna but our driver Marco was excellent and made appropriate stops along the way. The Fall colors on the drive were stunning! In Prague, a local guide gave us a 2 hour walking tour which was informative and he was nice and funny. Then they gave us 3 hours of free time for lunch and looking around on our own. It was a ling day (picked up from Vienna hotel at 6:50am and dropped off at 8pm) but well worth it!

Astromical clock was THE reason for the trip to Prague. I enjoyed the city as well. The guide was very good, however she really needed to have a softbox. We were pretty spread out a lot of times; I was able to keep up with her, but the other folks who didn't would have benefited, from the conversation.

We did both the Prague and Budapest day tours with this company. Personally I preferred Budapest but this may be a matter of personal opinion. The tour guide was excellent however was only with us part of the day. Prague seems to have some kind of local laws that impinge on the touring capacity. We had the tour company for collection and drop off but were swapped over to a private "local" guide for the actual tour of Prague itself. As a result, the experience wasn't quite as seamless as the Budapest tour we did with this same company. I enjoyed Prague. It's very pretty and busy but to me it lacked the authenticity of Budapest. The changing of guide part way through the day was also a little disruptive. This is still a great tour but it may be worth having a look at the other tours by this company as, in my opinion, they were a superior offering. Overall, this company does a wonderful job regardless though.
