Overview

Discover the wines and scenery of Waiheke on a half-day wine tour from Auckland. Hop the morning ferry to Matiatia to join your guide, and hear insightful commentary as you travel by minivan to three wineries for tastings. You have the option to purchase lunch at the second winery, and you can either remain on the island at the end of the tour, or return to Auckland by ferry.

Pickup details

Our Tour Guide will be at the meeting point at Matiatia dockside, waiting for you at 1040am with a welcome board with your name on it. You will receive an email and text the night before with your Tour Guides phone number on it, they will be in a distinctive Waiheke Wine Tours smart uniform, easy to spot.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Our guide, Caleb was outstanding! Also all the wine tasting locations were beautiful and well organized. It was a very relaxed pace. We were dropped off in Oneroa as requested so we could spend more time on the island.

Hi Cynthia, thank you for your review. Please understand that the maximum amount of time we spend at vineyards is 40 minutes, which is what your tour achieved. We aimed to deliver you to 4 stops from 10:30 am to 3:40 pm, and this schedule was clearly communicated in our listing. If we didn't do that you would of been disappointed that you didn't get to see all the vineyards listed on our listing! Thank you :)

Thanks April, to get so many vineyards in for you, our tours allocate 45 mins for each stop, that's why you get to go to 4 vineyards, we can always drop you back into your fav one at the end to spend more time, which I am sure your Guide would of advised ;) Glad you loved the Rose!

Karen our driver was great and very informative. The vineyards were great with some lovely views and wines. Gary at stoneyridge was very friendly and amusing. Can't wait to back again. We had a lovely group. Chris from Canada and 2 other couples from Canada. Adele and husband from New Zealand and 2 lovely young girls off the sebourne cruise shop.

Waiheke wine tour

Lovely place. Dalton did a great job narrating the tour. The wines were good. The only down side was the weather did not cooperate so we had rain and winds dampen the experience.
