I have been on many tours and this was my least favorite. There was too many people to hear the guide and no instructions on where to go within the tour. The experience itself was great but I would rather just tour the places on my own. The guide was extremely friendly and professional but there was no organization.

Not worth it!

Not worth the money. The tour was actually largely self guided and in the capitol you did the tour that they offer. You could have simply went and got tickets at the capitol, a lot cheaper and had the same or better experience. Also, no signage from tour guide, as Viator farms this out to a third party. Don’t’ waste your time.

Not worth the cost

The tour guides were very nice and knowledgable and provided history of the building. But the actual tour was conducted by capitol employees. We ended up leaving the group before starting the Library of Congress because I really had to go to the bathroom and they had moved on before we were ready to proceed. I also wanted to go to the gift shop but there wasn’t enough time with the tour. In fairness to the guides the Capitol was packed! It had been closed to the public in the morning and there were tons of kids on 8th grade trips. So perhaps the experience would have been different. But even so I thought the price was pretty steep for what we got out of it.

Tour Guide nowhere to be found

Very seldom am I a complainer, but in this case, I’m very frustrated. Showed up half an hour early in front of the Supreme Court building and at the address as instructed and tour guide with sign was nowhere to be found. My fiancée and I looked all around for about 45 minutes and did not find our tour guide. We ended up missing out on our tour. $180 down the drain. It’s frustrating. I’m not sure if this was on viators end or the tour guides but I will not book anything through this site again. This was something I was looking forward to and I’m sad we had to miss out on it

We are sorry about the inconvenience. We didn't cancel the tour. The prime minister of Japan was supposed to receive award at the Us capitol. so we couldn't have access to the Capitol. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Our tour was cancelled and we never received a notification. Also, I spent $16 on an Uber for no reason. I’ll never book thru you again and I will tell everyone I know not to use your services. Need my refund!!

The tour started poorly when the operator apparently sent a text message about an hour before the start that the meet up location was changed. His message went to my unknown senders folder, so I didn’t see it. When I tracked him down after several call and email attempts, he was very rude and was mad at me for not seeing his text. Out of the 2 hour tour, one hour was spent in lines and waiting in overcrowded conditions, and another 15 minutes was spent in a theater watching a movie about Congress. In 30 minutes we were rushed through the capital, and the remaining time was spent in the beautiful Library of Congress, which again was short and thoroughly overcrowded. It was an expensive waste of time, and I recommend that Viator eliminate this tour from their offerings. This is the first time I have ever written a bad review about any experience.

We are so sorry to hear that all information on your tickets to meet across the street from the supreme courts at the red sign of the metro bus stop we are helping our guest always by sending them text to remind them to arrive 20 minutes at lest before the starting time for the tour .and right now it’s the night season and it’s overcrowded all over also no private tours in any government building and sorry for any inconvenience
