What an amazing learning experience!
Alixandra_C, May 2024
It was absolutely an outstanding experience and the tour guide was the most knowledgeable and interesting tour guide we've ever experienced. His name was Dre and the coach driver was Jon! Plan your day around it...especially when end at the National Museum of African-American History and Culture. We would recommend pre-planning your time at the museum. It is almost overwhelming in its vastness. We prioritized the lower levels...so powerful.

DC from the African American historical perspective
Isobel_G, May 2024
I really wanted to go to the new African American Museum but couldn’t find tickets during our stay in DC so this was a great alternative and also a tour of DC from a different perspective which enriched our overall experience. Great group and our tour guide Deandre was both very knowledgeable, witty and entertaining. Also a big plus that the luxurious bus was so clean and comfortable and kept us warm between our visits!! I will definitely recommend this tour to friends curious beyond the usual.
Excellent experience
mary_c, May 2024
The tour guide was exceptional. His knowledge of every place we visited in the history included was outstanding. He managed to make it personal for everybody while keeping the group together, which I don’t think this is easy.
Highlight of my trip!
Johnna_S, May 2024
Our tour guide Dre, was AMAZING! His vast knowledge, humor and delivery was unique. I’m only sorry I didn’t ask him for pod cast recommendations, and books. This tour was the highlight of my trip.

The American Experiment gone wrong.
Wendy_W, May 2024
I was nearly brought to tears looking at the depiction of brutality, the lack of humanity, the privilege of some and the characterization of our ancestors. The tour guide was awesome and very knowledgeable. History appears to be repeating itself today!

It was very informative
Lisa_Y, Apr 2024
This was my first tour with Viator. The tour guy was very informative and took us to a lot of different places. But the bus was very small and tiny, We didn’t have lunch and the tour guide showed his vote for the presidential nomination. We got to the African-American museum at 130. It was really nice.
Response from Host, May 2024
We are glad you enjoyed the tour with USA Guided Tours. Viator is a reseller, however, and you traveled directly with us. Lunch was not included in the tour and we aim to keep our tours as small as possible. Regarding the guide, politics do come up on tours, and while the tour guide is a contractor who can express his First Amendment, the tour is designed to be an inclusive experience, so please let us know if this was not the case.
