Safe and Responsible Driver

We booked a half day tour with a driver only (no tour guide). While we normally rent a car when traveling, the driving in Armenia is crazy and dangerous so we were happy to have such a professional and safe driver take us to Garni Temple and Geghard Monastery. (I think his name was something like Tigray???) He spoke enough English and we had no problems with communication. After we visited our last place, he even bought us a traditional Armenian sweet, sujuk. What a nice cultural surprise!

The tour was excellent and when there was a mix-up in communication, the company bent over backwards to make things right. The tour guide - Sam - spoke excellent English and provided a thorough history of the sites we visited as well as general information about the area as a whole. I recommend this tour.

Private car and guide is the best way to go visit these attractions

Exactly what I was looking for on this day trip.....private car and a good guide to see these attractions. They picked me up from my hotel on-time and everything went exactly as planned. Both attractions were pretty crowded on the day I visited (on a nice summer Sunday afternoon), but Mary was able to help me get some good pictures and work around the hoards. She was a very informative guide and I enjoyed my time with her. Since I was alone, we had the flexibility to stop at some other scenic spots along the way too. The best part of this private tour was that Hyur was able to accommodate my special request to book a COVID test (for departure the next day) for me, which they took me to on our way to Garni Temple. Then I was able to pick up the results later that afternoon when we got back.

This was an ideal way to spend a half-day outside of Yerevan in the middle of a business trip. It wasn't a huge investment in time, but the change of scenery was fantastic. The guide was very knowledgeable and the driver very pleasant.
