Founded in 1889 along with the Tibidabo funicular—both of which were created to inspire Barcelona residents to explore the lofty outreaches of their city—the Tibidabo Amusement Park has since evolved into a beloved place for families and others seeking a day of entertainment. Rides range from renovated historic pieces to more modern innovations—check out the Avió flight simulator, the heritage carousel, the Embruixabruixes aerial railway, and the Giradabo Ferris wheel. Several high-speed roller coasters cater to adrenaline junkies.
Tibidabo Amusement Park features on hop-on hop-off bus tours, private walking excursions, and personalized day trips. You can also simplify your visit by booking tickets to the park online prior to your travels.
Tibidabo Amusement Park’s classic funicular is under construction, and will be reborn as a renovated ride in autumn 2020.
The park has numerous on-site restaurants, cafés, and food kiosks, from hot dog and churro stands to sit-down eateries serving tapas, salads, and other fresh dishes.
Many of the park’s attractions are accessible to wheelchairs, and visitors with disabilities receive discounted entry.

Tibidabo Amusement Park is located on Mt. Tibidabo. The Tramvia Blau tram connects to the park’s funicular, although both are currently under construction. Alternatively, shuttle buses run between the park and the B:SM Sant Genís parking lot, Plaça Catalunya, and Kennedy Square. You can also get there by taxi.

Juxtapose Tibidabo’s fun-filled rides with an attraction of another sort: the Tibidabo Panoramic Area. The scenic overlook is one of the highest observation points in the city, offering sweeping views of Barcelona and the sea beyond. The panoramic area is accessible to Tibidabo ticket holders; note that it’s typically closed December 25 and 26, most of January, and weekdays in February.
