Very good tour of small town Costa Rica and the volcano
Such a unique and different side of Costa Rica and I recommend folks take this trip. Loved walking around the volcano crater shrouded in fog and seeing the Orosi valley coffee plantations at a distance and getting to experience small town Costa Rica. Episode have been a 5/5 if it wasn’t raining.

Poor etiquette from the tour guide
It as a beautiful day out. We were able to see the whole volcano before the clouds moved it. Worth going early. The lunch was excellent. The only real issue I had was that I requested a English speaking guide which I did have. We only had 4 people on our tour. My 19 yo son, myself, and 2 others. The spoke very good english, as did the tour guide but the 3 of them spoke Spanish throughout the trip. Multiple times I asked if they would please correspond in English as there may be information that we would find interesting or at the very least feel like we were being engaged in the conversation. On the way back to the hotel, I finally gave up after 4 polite requests to speak English. For me, with such a small group, it was very poor etiquette.

Absolutely wonderful!
Fantastic experience! Christopher was a great driver. Daniel was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide. They provided a welcoming & thorough experience filled with history of San José & the volcanoes themselves. They even took photos! And the experience of walking around near a volcano can’t be beat!
