Most travelers visit independently while spending time in and around Chennai, purchasing admission tickets at the gate. Tickets include access to all rides and swimming pools, but carnival games and some shows and attractions, such as the 5D theater and the Devil House, require additional fees. Park highlights include the Rolling Thunder roller coaster, the Water Coaster log ride, and Children’s Land, with mellow rides for young kids. Pedal boating on the park’s small lake is also available.
Entry tickets include admission to the main park and the water park.
Life jackets are available for use in the pools.
Swimsuits are not required at the swimming pools.
MGM Dizzee World is one of India’s older amusement parks, and some rides and attractions may seem dated.
Several on-site restaurants and food kiosks serve south Indian and international vegetarian and nonvegetarian food. Outside food is also permitted.
Wait times for rides can be long, and the park offers little shade—bring a hat and sun protection.

MGM Dizzee World is located 19 miles (32 kilometers) south of central Chennai, on the Bay of Bengal. While some buses do go there, service is very slow, so most visitors opt for the convenience of a taxi or private vehicle. There’s a large parking lot outside the main entrance of the park.
MGM Dizzee World is open every day of the week, from late morning until early evening, with slightly extended hours on weekends and holidays. The park can be quite busy with local visitors on the weekends and especially on holidays; avoid these times for a more peaceful visit and shorter wait times.
In addition to MGM Dizzee World, Tamil Nadu’s capital offers plenty of attractions for families. Kishkinta Theme Park is particularly popular for its water-park section, while VGP Universal Kingdom is another older amusement park favored by families with older kids. For families with young train enthusiasts, the Rail Museum displays old locomotives, offers rides on toy trains, features a train-themed restaurant, and shows train-related films.
