Things to know before you go
*Lady Buddha is located midway up Son Tra Mountain, which features several hiking trails. If you plan to trek, ensure you’re wearing suitable shoes and plenty of insect repellant. *The site of the statue is considered a sacred place for Buddhis, so ensure that you wear respectable clothing that covers the shoulders. *Entry to the site of Lady Buddha and the Linh Ung Pagoda is free. There are also restrooms and stalls selling snacks. *A lack of ramps mean that Lady Buddha is inaccessible to visitors using wheelchairs and strollers.
How to get there
Lady Buddha is located 10 miles (15 kilometers) from the center of Da Nang. You can reach the statue by taking a taxi or riding a motorbike. However, the steep and winding roads that lead to the monument mean that driving experience is essential.
When to get there
The grounds surrounding Lady Buddha are open from early morning until after dark. For the best views of the Son Tra Peninsula, time your visit to Lady Buddha to coincide with sunset.
