The best way to explore Small Lagoon is by kayak, which is usually provided or available to rent on island-hopping tours. There are four types of island-hopping tours in El Nido—A, B, C, and D. Small Lagoon typically features on the itinerary of Tour A; cruises explore the Bacuit Bay archipelago by either catamaran or private yacht and also tend to cover the Secret Lagoon, Shimizu Island, and 7 Commando Beach. We had a lot of fun. The driver was very attentive, and so was the boat crew. Lunch was good as well, with a variety of seafood and pork/chicken and fruit. Small Lagoon stole the show, truly amazing!

*The rocks on the floor of Small Lagoon can be sharp, so waterproof shoes are recommended.
*To enter the Small Lagoon, you’ll need to clamber through limestone rocks—good mobility is required for this.
*Boat trips to the Small Lagoon can last upwards of 8 hours, so ensure you bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat.
How to get there
Small Lagoon is only accessible by boat from El Nido. You can either charter a private boat or visit the lagoon as part of an island-hopping tour, which is the most convenient, cost-effective option.
When to get there
The best time to visit El Nido is during the dry season, which runs between November and April. That said, the weather in Palawan can be unpredictable, which has a direct impact on the sea currents, so be sure to exercise caution at all times.
