The twin 88-story steel and glass buildings known as the Petronas Twin Towers (or Petronas Towers), completed in 1996, are icons of Malaysia. Designed to symbolize courage and the country’s advancement, the towers connect by a double-decker Skybridge between the 41st and 42nd floor—the world’s tallest two-story bridge of its kind—forming the shape of an “M” for Malaysia.

A great experience!!
We had a wonderful time! The communication was great. Our tour guide, Siva was fantastic! He made us feel very comfortable while showing us many beautiful places and providing us with just the right amount of information! The Petronas Towers experience was well worth it with amazing views over KL. I would highly recommend this tour and this company!
People Also Ask
Q:Is it worth going up the Petronas Twin Towers?
A:Yes, it’s worth going up the Petronas Twin Towers. Once the world’s highest building and still the tallest twin buildings, these soaring glass-and-steel pinnacles are Kuala Lumpur’s signature sight. Although Merdeka 118 Tower is taller, the views from the closed observation deck on the 86th floor are spectacular.
Q:What are the Petronas Twin Towers famous for?
A:Twin eight-lobed pinnacles linked by a double-decker sky bridge and topped with spires, the Petronas Twin Towers spike skywards as Kuala Lumpur’s most recognizable landmark. The towers were the world’s tallest building from 1996 to 2003 and are still the highest twin structures on the planet.
Q:How much does it cost to go to the Petronas Twin Towers?
A:You can visit a lower level of the Petronas Twin Towers when you catch a concert at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, but you'll need a ticket to see the Skybridge and the Observation Deck. Foreign over-12s pay 98 RMB; seniors and kids aged 3–12 pay 50 RMB; under-3s go free.
Q:When is the best time to visit the Petronas Twin Towers?
A:Evening is the best time to visit the Petronas Twin Towers. The towers and the surrounding skyline are lit up at night, making Kuala Lumpur much more colorful than it appears by day. They’re open until 9pm, with the last admission at 8:30pm, but closed on Mondays (public holidays excepted).
Q:Can you eat at the Petronas Twin Towers?
A:No, you can’t eat at the Petronas Twin Towers, although the Malaysian Petroleum Club has members-only restaurants in one of the towers. However, the Suria KLCC Mall connects to the twin towers at ground level and offers food options from bakery, dumplings, and sushi to international names like Starbucks.
Q:Can you get Petronas Twin Towers tickets on the day?
A:Yes, in theory, you can get Petronas Twin Towers tickets in the concourse lobby on the day. If you arrive early, you may face a long wait for your timed slot, and tickets may already be sold out if you arrive late. It’s better to book online in advance.
