Galeria Perdana is split into three sections, organized by gift type. One section displays sparkling gemstones, crystal pieces, sculptures, and silverware. While other sections exhibit weapons, musical instruments, and woodwork. One of the most extravagant gifts is undoubtedly the Formula 1 racing car. The landscaped gardens surrounding the museum are well-kept and feature ample native flora—make time to stroll them when you visit.
You'll pay a small admission fee to enter the museum, with discounts available for children and Malay citizens.
To take photos or videos of the exhibitions, you'll pay extra.
There’s an on-site café that sells snacks and hot and cold drinks.
Galeria Perdana is in the northeastern part of the island. If you’re driving from the airport, take Route 112 for around 30 minutes—there’s a parking lot at the museum. It’s a 5-minute drive from Langkawi Wildlife Park, making it a convenient addition to your sightseeing.
Galeria Perdana is open daily from morning until late afternoon, except for the first Monday of every month when it's closed. It’s also closed on select days over Eid, which is usually in June. Budget around two hours to see the entire collection.
Galeria Perdana isn’t the only eclectic collection of artifacts in Langkawi—the island has a diverse selection of things to do. For epic photo opportunities, head to the 3D interactive Art in Paradise. Or, trace the history and life cycle of rice at Laman Padi Langkawi, entirely dedicated to the Asian grain.
