How to Get There

Calle Morelos—officially Calle José María Morelos—stretches from Calle José Garibaldi in downtown Monterrey across the Santa Catarina River to Calle Séptima Zona in the España neighborhood; however, the main tourist stretch ends before the river. Easily reached on foot from most points in Monterrey downtown, it’s also accessible by private and public transportation. Several local buses pass the street and the Zaragoza metro stop is a block north.

When to Get There

The best time to visit the Zona Rosa stretch of Calle Morelos is during daytime hours, when the stores are open and the street is bustling; after dark, there’s little going on. On the Barrio Antiguo side, both day and night are excellent times to stop by, especially Sundays when a flea market crosses Calle Morelos. In the evening, when the bars open, the neighborhood is especially lively.
