How to Get There

Hon Mun sits about 6 miles (10 kilometers) southeast of downtown Nha Trang, just south of Hon Tre, the island that houses Vinpearl Land Nha Trang. There are no ferries, so travelers visit either by private boat or on an island-hopping cruise.

When to Get There

As with the rest of Nha Trang, the best time to enjoy Hon Mun island is between January and August, when the weather is warm but the rainy season has yet to begin, keeping the water clear. Many opt to beat the heat and the high season crowds by visiting in May or June.

The Best Islands in Nha Trang

Many travelers find an island-hopping trip a must-do. The largest of the Nha Trang islands is Hon Tre, also known as Bamboo Island or Vinpearl Island.
