Because it was very difficult to civilize this indigenous group, this work was entrusted to the Jesuits who realized the wealth found in the minerals of this area and taught these people techniques to extract and exploit metals. Pozos has had several periods of wealth, but the day came when the minerals were exhausted and this Ghost Town was left for the admiration of adventurous visitors;
