The reason l plan this tour is because a lot of tourist are looking for something interesting but something they can experience the real Japan. By living in Fuchu, I found this place is the perfect place to fulfill that desire. Why? First Fuchu used to be the political center of Tokyo which makes the area has become a place of various historical sites. Second Fuchu has one of the biggest horse racing tracks, making the area a special place for fans. Third the area is not so crowded which allows you to enjoy the tour by your own pace and relaxing. Take a stroll with your guide through the rich nature and popular spots in this rustic mountain village located on the western edge of Tokyo. Hinohara Village is a peaceful village located about two hours away from the heart of Tokyo. It is both rich in nature along the Akigawa River that flows through the center, and traditional arts and architecture. It’s full of cultural attractions. On this tour, you will visit Kobayashi's house, Hossawa Falls and Seoto-no-Yu Spa with your personal guide using public transit. Enjoy traditional living in the mountainous area and the four seasons in Tokyo, but away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Mt. Takao is located one hour by train from Tokyo. There is a temple called Yakuoin that has supported the mountain worship in Tokyo. On this tour, you will learn about Japanese mountain worship and experience nature and history while reaching the summit of the mountain. The tour will be accompanied by a local tour guide.

This day-trip to Hinohara village will let you experience the oneness with Nature! Waterfall meditation is commonly practiced in natural settings, allowing individuals to connect with the powerful energy of waterfalls and the beauty of nature. In addition, being bathed in the waterfall’s water is believed to cleanse the mind and body. It is thought that the energy of the waterfall provides a mental refreshment for those seeking it. You will experience our actual SAMURAI practice. ・The number of participants is limited to 5. If you would like more than 6 , please let us know! First, you will learn the basic history of swords and how they are manufactured. You will also actually disassemble a sword to deepen their understanding of its parts. During the iai lesson,you will learn proper sword etiquette, and the basics of handling and swinging a sword. Next, using a Bokuto,you will learn how to use the curve and center ridge of the sword. After that, you will learn about offense and defense when facing an opponent using a padded sparring practice sword in a mock duel. Lastly, you will be able to try test cutting .Each guest will have the chance to try cutting two rolled up straw mats. Cutting at the correct angle will result in a cut with no resistance to the blade.

You can actually use a Japanese sword, which is said to be the soul of the samurai, and experience a trial cutting. The experience of touching the soul of the samurai will surely transform you. Tennen Rishin-ryu swordsmanship, which began in the Edo period, has been carried on to this day, and students of Tennen Rishin-ryu practice at the Tennen Rishin-ryu Hino Dojo to hone their swordsmanship skills. You can learn the essence of Tennen Rishin-ryu at the actual dojo. The swordsmen who practiced the Tennen Rishin-ryu in Hino City formed the Shinsengumi, said to be the strongest group of swordsmen, at the end of the Edo period and were known as the Last Samurai. You can feel the history and culture of the Last samurai by experiencing swordsmanship in Hino City, the hometown of the Shinsengumi. Masao Inoue, the chairman of the Tennen Rishin-ryu Hino Dojo and a descendant of the Shinsengumi executive Genzaburo Inoue, will lead the experience program.

Have the kids occupied while the adults enjoy the beautiful nature, attractions and temples of Mt. Takao and finish off with a famous Takao Soba lunch. We offer not only an all inclusive guided tour in English for the adults but also a “treasure map” style game for children to enjoy with prizes that include Japanese coloring books, snacks, toys and candy . We will even teach them Japanese! We will see the Takao Museum, ride the cable car, visit the monkey and flower park, learn about the temples and on a clear day see Mt. Fuji at the summit. We know how it can be sometimes stressful traveling with children in a foreign country so we will arrange everything! We will take away the worry and make sure you enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Japan! Our guide has been teaching English in a Japanese Kindergarten for 20 years. He loves Mt. Takao and children. He especially wants children from other countries to learn about Japanese language, customs and culture.

There are some islands in Tokyo. Izu-Oshima is one of the islands of Tokyo, also famous for the volcanic island and 120km from the city of Tokyo. You can enjoy trekking to Mt. Mihara which stands in Izu-Oshima We meet up at the parking lot of Mt. Mihara. Then starting from the view point of Mt Mihara. We start walking from the lookout to the summit. You can see and enjoy the lavas on the way to the summit. After arriving at the summit we go trekking around the crater. You can see a central of the crater.

This tour visits Mt. Mitake, located about 90 minutes by train from central Tokyo. Situated at the summit of Mt. Mitake, the Musashi Mitake Shrine is known as an important place for mountain worship. The tour also visits the Rock Garden, a place near the summit where visitors can enjoy the natural scenery. The tour is accompanied by a Mitake adventure travel guide (English-speaking tour conductor) who knows a lot about Mt. Mitake. Mt. Mitake rises 929 meters above sea level. Take the cable car round trip from about halfway up the mountain to the top station situated at an altitude of 831 meters. As this tour does not include authentic mountain climbing, even those who don't have mountain climbing experience may participate. Walking distance is approximately 10 km. While this course is for beginners, there are hundreds of stone steps, slopes, and mossy paths on the course, so please participate wearing clothes easy to walk in and non-slip shoes, and use a backpack.

Mt. Takao is a spiritual mountain located west of Tokyo. It is about one hour from Shinjuku by train. There is an old temple named Yakuoin, built in the 7th century. The mountain was considered sacred, and its nature has been preserved for more than 1300 years. This mountain has various hiking trails, some along the river and some along the ridge. If climbing up the trail is difficult, you can take a cable car, which makes climbing much easier. The guide can explain both the nature and spiritual meaning of this mountain. You can see beautiful nature and a holy temple.

Join me as we cycle along the old road of Okutama once used as a trade route to Tokyo. I will introduce you to the history, nature and culture of the area, which is very different from Tokyo. Along the way, we will come across springs, wasabi fields, old shrines, mountain villages, and maybe spot some wildlife along the way. Our destination is Lake Okutama, a large man made lake, there will visit a small museum exhibiting historic artifacts. We'll then return to town to soak our feet at local onsen - hot spring. After, we will shop for souvenirs. Please come 30 mins early to check in and get ready. i.e. 12.30 for 1pm start.
