Odaiba’s Immersive Fort Tokyo is a theme park with a difference: the 10 attractions in one put visitors in the center of the action. Rather than theme park staples like roller coasters and bumper boats, Immersive Fort Tokyo offers visitors the chance to be at the center of a mafia versus spy agent showdown, dodge enemies in an escape room scenario, and more.
Immersive Fort Tokyo claims to be the world’s first immersive theme park and offers an exciting alternative to traditional theme parks. Instead of just sitting on rides, visitors will be drawn into the action and drama of stories being enacted around them. Some of the 10 experiences are suitable for kids, while others are more appropriate for adults and have age restrictions.
Most travelers visit independently while spending time in Odaiba, where there are many intriguing statues, exhibits, malls, and other future-inspired attractions to enjoy. Aim to spend most of the day here.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance and aren’t available at the venue on the day.
Various day passes allow entry to a different number and combination of experiences.
The experiences last varying lengths, from 10 to 105 minutes, and run throughout the day. Some have a maximum number of participants.
There are four onsite restaurants and outside food and drink aren’t allowed.
A limited number of wheelchairs and strollers can be rented for a fee.
Immersive Fort Tokyo is on Odaiba Island. The closest station is Aomi, on the Yurikamome Line, just outside the entrance. Alternatively, you can walk or drive over the Rainbow Bridge, which connects Odaiba to the mainland. There is a rooftop parking lot, but it has limited spaces, so take the train if you can.
Immersive Fort Tokyo is indoors, so you can comfortably visit it at any time of year. It’s open from late morning until evening, with slightly extended hours on weekends and public holidays. It’s likely to be busiest on weekends and public holidays, so visit mid-week if you can.
