How to Get There

Sanctuary of Arantzazu is located within the Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park just outside Oñati. From San Sebastián, drive about 47 miles (75 kilometers) southwest or take the train to Zumárraga, then a bus to Oñati. From there, take a taxi or drive about 12 minutes to the sanctuary. Alternatively, If you are hiking, trails of different levels pass through spectacular landscapes.

Architects Francisco Javier Saez de Oiza and Luis Laorga gathered together forward-thinking virtuosos in art and architecture to collaborate on the sanctuary.
