The legend of Three Sisters

According to Indigenous legend, three sisters from the Katoomba tribe were in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe, but were forbidden to marry. War broke out and a sorcerer changed the girls to rock to protect them during the battle. The sorcerer was killed in the battle, so the sisters remain in stone to this day. To get a closer look at the Three Sisters, take the short 0.5-mile (0.8 kilometer) round-trip Three Sisters Walk from Echo Point Lookout.
