When to get there

Govetts Leap and the Blue Mountains are open year-round, though inclement weather and summer bushfires can cause closures. Summer is an excellent time to see wildflowers. Govetts Leap is especially popular on weekends, and parking can be an issue. To avoid the crowds, visit early in the morning or around dusk. Leave yourself extra time if you plan to go on any of the walks or explore other parts of the park.
