The basics

A majority of visitors to Ses Salines come to bask in the sun on Ses Salines Beach, one of the most beautiful (and most popular) on the island. In contrast to the rest of the park, this beach is fairly developed, with lifeguards, restaurants, beach bars, and shower facilities. For an escape from the crowds, pay a visit to the Ses Portes or Sal Rossa watchtowers, take in the sunset from Cap des Falcó, or enjoy the quieter and wilder Es Cavallet Beach.

Ibiza salt

Ses Salines gets its name from the salt production that’s been happening in the region for hundreds of years. The area known as Montañas de Sal has been active in the island's salt trade since Phoenician times, and continues to produce the high-quality, gourmet salt that Ibiza is known for in culinary circles.
