The basics

There are lots of options at Belgrad Forest. Walk or run one of the many trails and tracks around the park, including a popular 4-mile (6.5-kilometer) trail that circles a man-made lake, and features exercise equipment for the public to use. Enjoy the nature parks in the forest, and cool off in the shade of a variety of trees, including chestnut, beech, oak, elm, and spruce. You can also have a picnic or barbecue at one of seven main picnic areas, a favorite local activity on the weekends.

It’s possible to visit independently, or join a guided day trip from Istanbul and combine a trip to Belgrad Forest with a stop at a local beach and city park.
