Madrid’s Golden Triangle of Art

The Naval Museum lies just outside Madrid’s Golden Triangle of Art, which consists of the city’s three leading art museums: the Prado Museum, the Reina-Sofia Museum, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. While you should try to visit all three, the Prado is unmissable for those with an interest in Spanish history. Its collection of 12th- to 19th-century European art includes paintings and sculptures from the Spanish Royal Collection, including Las Meninas by Diego Velazquez.
