Some of the trails are accessible for mountain bikes, adding an adventurous element, and the school is a popular stop for ATV tours. From the Quai des Ferries Vaiare terminal, you can rent a car, scooter, or opt for a tour to take you to the school, which is a 30-minute drive away.
June to September is a more comfortable time of year in French Polynesia—the temperatures are moderate and the humidity is low. This season is perfect for hiking and exploring the dramatic natural beauty of the islands. The school itself is open to visitors on weekdays from morning to afternoon, and on Saturday from morning to noon. Opt for an early visit to avoid the midday heat.
Local companies offer tours and rentals to explore the tropical orchards of the school–you’ll find plenty of combo experiences which offer thrilling Jet Ski rides around the lagoon of Moorea before heading to Lycée Agricole des Opunohu to race through the jungle on an ATV.
