How to Get There

Located on the southern edge of Noosa Heads National Park, Sunshine Beach is a beautiful 45-minute walk from Hastings Street, or if you have a car, just a 10-minute drive. There is a car park on the northern side of the beach. It is also only about 30 minutes from the Sunshine Coast Airport.

When to Get There

For the best combination of sunshine, little rainfall, and lower prices, plan to visit Sunshine Beach between April and June. The best season for whale watching is between June and October.

For the best coastal views during your stay, head up the set of stairs at the northern end of Sunshine Beach. This clifftop vantage point overlooks the Noosa National Park headland and the Coral Sea.
