Four Mile Beach

Port Douglas, Queensland, 4877

The basics

For travelers to Port Douglas looking for sun, sand, and sea, it doesn’t get much better than Four Mile Beach. While many visitors choose to hit the beach on their own, beach towel and book in hand, it’s also possible to explore the length of the beach via a guided Segway tour.

These tours offer insight into two heritage locations—the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree National Park—along the way. Day trips to Port Douglas from Cairns often include time at the beach, as well as a visit to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures.
