A perfect adventure.

The tour guides spoke with us in a friendly and relaxed tone. We felt very comfortable. My horse, Picasso, pretty much knew what I was thinking and needed very little direction. Having ridden several times before I tried to rear Picasso and he performed that maneuver perfectly. Great crew, great animals, great scenery and great weather. You can't ask for any more.

Great tour guides. Watch over everyone in our group, and made our rude and tour very pleasant. Every horse paired properly to the rides level (even for a young lady (age 9)).

I had THE best time and as a horse lover it was the highlight of my trip! I always like to go on a ride anywhere I travel and this was my most favorite ride. The guide was so friendly and fun to ride with. I could not recommend this more. A definite MUST!!

The ride was a nice mix of climbing and hilltop views and a good beach ride. Our guide was knowledgeable. We appreciated the names of the various cacti and wildlife. The horses are well cared for and healthy-looking, which is different from many stable rides I've experienced in the past. I appreciated the Colombian saddle, which was comfortable and attractive. I was impressed by the way the handlers treated the horses when we returned. Instead of tying them up to be ridden again, they took the saddles off and sprayed down the horses, starting with their legs, and let them rest. I would definitely return! My favorite rental ride of all time!

This was an awesome excursion. Well taken care of horses, friendly tour guides, and unreal landscapes through the desert. I felt like I was in an old Western movie - absolutely gorgeous. The ride wasn’t too long but it wasn’t too short either. Overall a great time - highly recommend. Thank you guys for being a highlight of my vacation!

I loved that we got picked up from our hotel and delivered to the Ponderosa Ranch. Our guides were Alexis and Pedro and the were great. The horses were very easy to work with. I ride King and he was a beautiful horse and fun to ride. The tour was advertised as a beach tour but it really wasn’t. We went through some mountains and cacti “forests” and cliffs over looking the ocean and briefly on the beach, but I loved the trail. It was a great way to see the other side of the island. It was better than I expected and I recommend this tour!

If you choose to go on this excursion, PLEASE WEAR A HELMET!!!! My wife was thrown from a racing horse and was taken by ambulance. She is still recovering from a severe concussion. The hospitals operate on a cash basis and are nothing like our hospitals in the States. We left Aruba and she was evaluated in Miami and admitted. This was an absolute nightmare! When the horse went crazy, none of the guides stopped it. To say this can be a dangerous excursion, is an understatement!!

Never happened. Horrible communication. Confirm on tix said Port Pickup. We were there and spent 2 hours looking. We wound up scrambling to pay for alternative excursion so we could see some of Aruba. It seems they sent email late as to exact location. We are on a ship and only had minimal email access. We have asked for a refund of what we paid ($232.00), but, they have refused. We are annual users of Viator and hope Viator will remedy the situation.

This was my second time horse back riding. Both experience was different and beautiful. Nice views of the scenery and ocean. Our tour guy was very nice n funny. Definitely recommend “Rancho La Ponderosa” to anyone who likes horse riding.

We had an absolutely amazing time! Nestor was a lot of fun and was able to talk a lot about the island, but also the horses. As someone who has ridden horses for years I sometimes worry about these tours, but when they knew I had the experience they let me gallop/cantor ahead once we were on the flats of the beach!
