Guiden var mycket kunnig och trevlig! Vi lärde oss mycket om Greklands historia. Amfiteatern var intressant också för att det var en plats för sjukvård och helande av människans kropp och själ. Mykene var som att kliva in i historien. Värt en tuff vandring till toppen.

NOT a small group tour - they are lying! DO NOT BOOK

The overview clearly states "This small-group tour has a maximum of 20 travelers" but that was NOT true and it won't be for you either. We had 38 people on our tour and when we asked why, since this was supposed to be a small group tour, they said that in the fine details it actually states that there's actually 49 travelers. You have to click see 6 more in additional details and it's at the very bottom. This tour group was huge and there were no

What a fun day trip! I really enjoyed this well organized day. I would have loved about 15 more minutes at each archeological site, but overall, a fantastic day with comfortable transportation and an excellent guide (Chrysa).

Our guide, Vivian is actually a college graduate with a degree in archeology, she gave a great history lesson and very organized sequence. We felt we walked through the history book. The few stops we made were all very good timing for pee stop and snacks.

All three stops were fantastic but the last one at the Theater of Epidaurus was the one we most looked forward to. It did not disappoint! The tour guide was great and the bus driver took us on a wonderful route through the pine forest on our return to Athens. The price was extremely reasonable as well. All in all, a great day!

Ioulia was a fantastic guide! The sites were absolutely stunning, but I wish more time was given at Epidaurus - it’s huge! I booked this because I didn’t want a guide, and it was perfect. Nice air conditioned bus, and my fellow travelers were all very nice too!

It was a perfect day out from Athens, Angelina was awesome as our guide and we learned so much from her. Our bus driver 'Bill' was great as well and got us to each site on time and safely. I would highly recommend this tour!

Must see ancient Greek sites for a day trip from Athens

First of all, Ammon express had great customer service, I was in contact via WhatsApp to confirm itinerary details even though I just booked the trip the night before. The suggested way to get to the bus pick up point is by subway, and I highly recommend it with the crazy Athens traffic. Taxies are slower than trains. The guide Vivian was extremely knowledgeable, being a local and an archaeology major herself. She answered any questions, and gave helpful suggestions for the city of Athens during our tour Her explanations made the visit to the sites later (unguided) meaningful and contextualised so we weren't lost Would recommend. We were 2 lost tourists in Athens trying to navigate through traffic to reach the pick up point and the tour company obliged and helped us stay calm even though we arrived late

Amazing and Beautiful

Amazing experience! The ruins and museums at Mycenae and Epidaurus were breathtaking. The mountains in the background made everything even more peaceful and surreal. Our guide, Angelina, was wonderful and told us amazing stories about both history and mythology. My favorite part was exploring Nafplio. We were allowed to explore for over 2 hours. We chose to hike to the top the huge Akronafplia Fortress. The views were breathtaking. We then hit the Promenade and dipped our toes in the sea (too cold to swim in January). Overall, it was an incredible day. Well worth the price.

Amazing day with amazing customer service

If you want to follow a guide around all the sites who tells you what you are looking at, this is not the tour for you. I loved that we were just set free and could ask questions later (but everything is labeled). This way you weren't forced to stick with a group and could go your own speed. Our guide Vassilis (sp?) was awesome and knowledgeable and was always happy to chat. There was sufficient time at each site to get a good overview. You do have to take the metro (or taxi I suppose) out of the centre of town to catch the transport, but it was easy and surely would have taken us longer than the 35 min via metro had we been in a van all that way. Now if mobility is an issue, again, maybe not the tour for you. My BIG reason I would give this tour 10 stars if possible, is my phone fell out of my pocket as I exited the van at the end, as soon as I got to my hotel I contacted them, they found it, and Vassilis agreed to meet me at another metro station to give it back. I was so so grateful as he could have just said "we'll deal with it tomorrow" as he'd been driving all day (and I would have been happy to wait), but he really went above and beyond and for that I will always be grateful. I'd use this company again anytime. It was a dream day for with customer service that couldn't be beat. Thanks again for everything.
