Best food tour in Bangkok

This tour was so great! We went to some places that we would have never known about and got the local feel for sure! The food was delicious and our tour guide, Jan gave us lots of great info.

A Must For Food Lovers

The walking food tour was one of the highlights of my Thailand trip. I took multiple tours across three cities in Thailand during my trip and my tour with Jan was the best out of all of them. Her knowledge of Thai culture/cuisine helped to bring a richer understanding of the areas we visited on the tour. She also has formed strong relationships with the local vendors, which was incredibly helpful. She would whisk us past the long lines that formed behind the popular street food stalls, where a private table would be set up for us while we had the privilege to watch the stall owners cook from behind the scenes. Not to mention, the food was amazing. If you love food, this tour is a must. It is jam packed with a variety of street food options from savory to sweet. You will get to experience the best street food stalls that you otherwise would have no knowledge of without a guide. What I also appreciated was the thoughtfulness of the food choices. We got to experience local/regional Thai cuisine that reached far beyond typical westernized Thai options. This tour is an absolute must if you enjoy Thai cuisine and are visiting Bangkok, even for one night. I would recommend booking the tour on a weekend evening, when the night markets are more active.

Fun experience

Jan was an excellent guide with brilliant local knowledge. The food was we tried was varied and all the dishes were delicious. Unfortunately the 11 portions were a little too large for us so couldn’t manage the final dishes. Also just a small point…we would rather have had a couple of small beers at say dish 3 and 6 rather than a large beer at the end when we were all too full, but overall a brilliant introduction to Bangkok Food and the China Town area. Would definitely recommend.

Fun way to explore China town!

Jan is super friendly and knowledgeable and this was a wonderful way to explore China town! It also happened to be Chinese New Year so that added to the whole experience. We had such a nice group that we even hung out for drinks afterwards, swapping stories. Jan even put me on a cab and haggled the price down with the driver. As a vegetarian, Jan will try hard to provide substitutes but just keep your expectations in check. One thing I can recommend to the operators is even if the exact same dish is not possible to do for vegetarians, you all can provide an interesting enough alternative even if it's different from the rest of the group..for instance the morning glory beans at the Chinese restaurant would be interesting. At the satay place, probaby there are no good alternatives!

Unlike any other food tour

Jan was absolutely amazing! She is organized, well planned, and puts so much effort into making this a great time. You will not find another tour like this one, and you will never experience or see the things on this tour by yourself. From back ally ways to eat literally with locals where there are no tourist, to most historical restaurants with traditional recipes, and squeezing in where the best food was. We were full after the first three meals (not samples), and there was a huge variety. Dinner, desserts, beer, and even Thai Rum. The tour was longer that expected. About 4 hours instead of 3 but a great time.

Great foodie experience

Our tour guide Jan was fabulous. Information about Thai history as an introduction to the food tour. The food was all excellent, but bring a big appetite as there is lots of food. We were taken through backstreets and alleys to find some very interesting and unique places....highly recommended.

Fantastic tour. We had Jan as our guide and she was great! I have been on a lot of food tours in many different cities and this one was one of the best. We tried so many different foods I lost count. Fun way to tour some of the lesser known spots I would have never discovered on my own. Highly recommend!
