Mindre än nöjd med den här resan, medan guiden verkade ha en del användbar information, blev denna resa nästan omedelbart omplanerad av researrangören från kl. 9.00 till 14.00. Den inkluderade hotelltransport. Vi väntade i vår hotellobby från 1:45 till 2:15. Jag ringde numret och de sa att det skulle bli 2:45 vid 15:00. Jag ringde igen, guiden sa till mig att 5 minuter skulle hon förklara när hon valde oss upp och de 5 förvandlades till 25 till, slutligen vid 3:30 blev vi upphämtade, utan någon annan förklaring än "det var inte mitt fel" började vi vår turné. Turnén varade i cirka 4 timmar, trevligt fordon, guiden var något informativ, men gick ganska snabbt för min man som använder en käpp. Vi fick se flera höjdpunkter och gå in i byggnaderna, resan kändes förhastad då vi var tydligt sena. Vi åt inte innan resan eftersom vi trodde att vi skulle åka en och en halv timme tidigare, så här i efterhand borde vi ha ätit innan. Min man bokade resan och du kan inte se detaljerna om resan efter att den har bokats på sidan för kommande resor, så jag var inte medveten om att det skulle betalas ytterligare 26 euro vid tidpunkten för inresan till en av kyrkorna, det gjorde guiden Jag accepterar inte kreditkort på resan och det var obekvämt för alla, jag tror inte att någon av de 8 personerna hade hela 26 euro att betala kontant, jag hade 2 euro kort och kunde inte ge dricks av denna anledning. Vi visste inte att för att få ljudrundturen skulle vi behöva ladda ner en app medan alla jag tror hade sina telefoner, denna process var svårare än den kunde ha varit om vi hade känt till tidigare i instruktionerna för resan och ladda ner en app som åkte på vägen medan 7 andra personer ställer frågor samtidigt var inte den lättaste uppgiften. Sammantaget känner jag att resan var oorganiserad, jag bad guiden sakta ner hennes gång två gånger så att vi alla kunde höra vad det var hon sa men ändå fortsatte hon att gå och prata med en publik på högst 2 personer som var i vår grupp som kunde hänga med i hennes takt. Med lite mer organisation och eftertanke i processen kan detta bli en fantastisk resa.

Turnén var mycket bra. Vi hade mycket tur som hade Luis. Det började vår 9 dagars resa perfekt. Mitt enda problem var att vi anmälde oss till en engelsktalande turné och i sista minuten lades 5 brasilianska damer till. Eftersom de inte talade engelska gjorde Luis sitt bästa men det var inte vad vi förväntade oss eller betalade för

Giovanni was the tour guide and was excellent showed up on time and showed us everything we wanted to see. He would tell stories and do fun things which made the tour very fun and he know the history very well. I would recommend him for a tour any time.

We usually love Viator tours but today we are we’re totally disappointed with Barcelona highlights small group tour for several reasons. 1. The tour guide texted me the night before asking if we could make it earlier around 8:15 am instead of original time of 9:00 am. I texted back to say sure, no problem. We woke up early and my family were ready at the lobby by 8:15. He showed up at 9:15 an hour later. He did not text me until this morning when it was too late that the other family had not agreed to his suggested time change and was late for additional 15 min. 2. The tour guide had a heavy accent and half of the time my family could not figure out what he was trying to say. 3. After the first part of the tour in gothic quarter, which was somewhat acceptable, he collected us back in the van and we drove around with no further guidance from the tour guide as to what landmarks we were looking at and the significance of them. He was only talking to the person next to him in answering his inquires. We had no idea what highlights of Barcelona we were passing by!!! 4. The van stopped only once, and we were asked to get out for two minutes to take pictures. I asked him where we were and what was the importance of it. He answered nice view of the city. He did not even offer to take picture so my entire family can be in that picture together. All of our other tour guides were courteous enough to offer that. Overall, this was not like our other Viator tour experiences and we were very disappointed. It was a waste of more than $200 and our precious time in Barcelona.

Tour not as successful as we’d hoped

Our young guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, but the tour was not as enjoyable as we’d expected. Our group of 2 couples was picked up first at our hotel and a family of 3 soon joined us. The van was extremely crowded, with one passenger squashed in the front between the driver and guide, and the rest of us hampered by a seat that wouldn’t move properly to enable people to get to the back seat easily. For most of the driving portion of the tour the guide did not attempt to speak to us, so we had no idea what buildings we were passing. We tried to ask questions, so he eventually began to address all of us—but the folks in the rear seat couldn’t hear. Before embarking upon the walking portion of the tour into the Gothic Quarter, our guide graciously offered to take us to a store where most of the group purchased umbrellas to aid us in the unexpected rain. We enjoyed the walk and commentary through the alleys of the quarter; for me this was the highlight of the tour. Afterwards we drove to Montjuic for panoramic photos and a quick drive past interesting buildings that either weren’t identified or were mentioned too late for us to figure out what was what. From there we drove through a small part of Passeig de Gracia before being dropped off at our hotels. We did not pass by Casa Mila or the Basilica de La Sagrada Familia as advertised, nor did we see the Temple of August in the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas, La Boqueris, and La Barceloneta. We’d understood from an early email that the tour would end around 2 pm, but we were dropped off back at the hotel at 12:30 pm without explanation. We were sorry to have missed several of the sights described in the Viator tour description, but by that time most of were glad to escape the van and heavy traffic. I’m glad we saw what we did, but the experience could have been so much better.

What a wonderful day! David was a delightful, knowledgeable and fun tour guide! He easily and safely drove us through a busy city to see the beautiful sites, giving us many historical details as we passed through. From Barceloneta to Montjuic to the old town to a tour around the outside of Sagrada Familia, every moment was interesting and beautiful! David was thoughtful in making stops for us and adding little extras, like photographs and stopping in the market. Thank you, David! I will remember this tour of your city, Barcelona!

We give Liana 5 stars. However the issues were out of her control. We asked that our luggage stay in the van and that we be dropped off at the port. The company should have made us aware this was not possible. As a result we had to pay to store our luggage during the tour then pay for a taxi to take us to the port

Tour never happened

The walk never happened. Someone from the company sent a message saying the person giving the walk was sick and could we do it another day. That message came very late on Thursday night. We replied the next morning that we could not as we already had tours booked. OK, that happens, but then we never got another reply despite a follow up request and have heard nothing since. I would have thought the company would pro-actively offer a refund but apparently not, so we have asked Viator for a refund and been told a reply would take a week. Not great client service.

This is one of maybe two poor reviews I have ever given for a tour but this one was very disappointing. The biggest issue was with the tour guide. He spoke TERRIBLE English and could barely understand anything we asked or said to him. There was a large amount of walking which the tour makes it sound like it's mostly riding in a van with stops for short walks or pics. Two older people in our group had a VERY hard time keeping up but the tour guide hardly helped out or even looked back while he walked to even make sure we were still behind him. Please hire an ENGLISH speaking tour guide for ENGLISH speaking tours!! Not just barely speaking English but fluent in speaking and understanding. Also please specify that it's a mostly walking tour and title it as such!

Adrian, the guide, was the best on this trip. He was excellent, knows so much both about history and present days. He tells the information in a pleasant way with iPad-pictures to illustrate. Keeps the group together although photo stops, makes sure everyone can hear and understand. Ask for Adrian as your English speaking guide and you will have a great tour of Barcelona!

Wonderful city and will definitely return. Got the best highlights that Barcelona has to offer.
