Best of the dolomites with Alessandro

We spent 6 fantastic hours with Alesandro driving around and visiting the dolomites. This was our fist excursion to the south Tyrol area and we loved it! It was overcast and snowing on our tour but that did not bother us (we are used to the snow and cold). We stopped at some key spots to view the lakes and mountains as well as some of the mountain towns. Alessandro's knowledge of the area is amazing and we could not have asked for a better guide! We highly recommend this tour.

The changeable weather in May brought snow to the high area we were meant to see. Guide Alessandro gave us the option to cancel or do a low country tour which we did. A thoroughly enjoyable day.

Switchback roads through two passes and beautiful scenery.

Alessandro is a lovely person who took four of us on kms of switchback roads, through the passes talking about this beloved area he calls home. We met him at a local hotel by the train station and his timing was impeccable. The weather was not in our favour and we didn't see much of the dolomites but we managed to see glimpses of them. This is an expensive tour and to that end it would be of benefit if you did this tour on a clear day (you can cancel up to a certain point), but we had a timeline and wanted to see what we could see. Alessandro shared lots of information along the way and added lots to the trip.

A magical day with a great guide

Alex was a wonderful guide in this stunning part of Italy. He knew the best places to take us to maximize our time and was extremely knowledgeable about the history and facts of the region. We were fortunate to have picked the perfect day for our tour with out a cloud in the sky. I cannot recommend him enough. He made my wife and I feel like family and took great care of us. You need to plan ahead if coming to Bolzano and get him booked!!

Amazing tour of the Dolomites!

We loved every minute of this tour led by Alessandro! He picked us up at the Park Laurin Hotel (Bolzano) in a very nice black Mercedes and off we went. He easily meandered around bicyclist and motorcycles- so glad we weren’t driving! Along the route, he pointed out facts and history about the communities and villages, the effects from a devastating tornado in 2018 and numerous other points of interest. There were plenty of stops to get out and walk around and take pictures; he encouraged us to take as much times as needed. As we drove through the mountains, he explained geological details of the formation, the changes in the weather patterns and answered all of our questions. Once we reached the cable car, he led us up to the entry point and was waiting for us on our return. This tour was so much more than we expected and he was the perfect tour guide! We highly recommend it !

Fantastic tour! Angelo was a great guide (he filled in for Alessandro as he had a medical issue). He was very knowledgeable on the geology, history, and geography of the region. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and thoroughly recommend it - well worth the money.

He provided us with detailed information about geology and history of the region and provided a wealth of information about the Dolomites which we had expressed specific interest in learning more about. This was a very good excursion into the Western Dolomites provided by our guide Alex. Alex is professional in his work and passionate about his business and everything ran very smoothly from pick up to drop off. The tour is leisurely, the sights and views are spectacular and Alex provides expert advice and commentary as you go. Don't miss the cable car to the top at Pordoi Pass. The views from the top are magnificent. A great day out!

1st of all words cannot describe how breath taking this tour was and what an amazing part of our holiday this was thanks to our fabulous guide and the beautiful scenery. From someone that has travelled a lot and has done many tours and seen many sites I can honestly say this was the best experience hands down. What made it so beautiful is the scenic nature but what truly made it memorable was the wealth of knowledge that Alex had it was just incredible. The enthusiasm and passion Alex has for his home land and nature really captivates you. Alex was so thoughtful that he gave everyone water bottles during our journey. Alex also brought with him jackets just in case we got cold when we went up 3000 meters above sea level to see some breath taking sites. Im not one to usually write posts but if you are thinking of doing this tour DO NOT HESITATE !! Book any tour with . and you will hands down have an amazing experience whilst being provided with a passionate guide who truly has a connection with the land and nature. Alex what else can I say other than THANK YOU .. for one of the most memorable trips and excursions ever! I look forward to the next adventure with you sometime down in the future. This tour was incredible - easily the highlight of our trip. We were able to do and see so much more than we would have if we had been on our own. We went up the cable car to Sass Pordoi the lift ticket is not included, but it is worth it!, and we were also able to stop and do a little hike, visit one of the local towns, and enjoy the views. Alex, our guide, was a very safe driver, and an expert on the region. He had very interesting things to share about all of the places we went, and even packed extra supplies in case we weren't dressed for the weather. He does a fantastic job. The Dolomites are absolutely stunning. Take this tour!
