Vi har tillbringat 5 dagar i Bukarest och har haft mycket av denna vackra historiska stad men höjdpunkten i vår vistelse var vår dag med Dan. Han var kunnig, artig, rolig och mycket tillmötesgående för våra önskemål. Han var villig att byta kurs så vi kunde se några byar och det lokala livet inklusive en underbar festival. Det var en underbar dag och exakt den "get out of the city" -turnén vi älskar. Tack så mycket. Mary och Karen

Dan was our tour guide and he was absolultely lovely! The sites itself were alright. Definitely recommend not going on a weekend. But otherwise stunning sceneries all the way through :)

Nothing was too much trouble for Mircea, who picked us up from our hotel bang on time, and delivered us promptly back in the evening after a full, knowledge packed day in Transylvania. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and ensured that we got to see everything on our trip despite some delays due to overcrowding (not his fault at all) at Peles Castle by efficient time keeping. Can highly recommend this guide and tour - thank you again Mircea!

AWESOME TOUR!!! This tour was definitely worth it! This private day tour was the PERFECT way travel from Bucharest to see Peles Castle, Bran Castle and the town of Brasov! The tour company owner, Mihai, contacted me prior to the tour date to let me know the details and who our tour guide would be. Mihai also offered to start the tour 30 minutes early to try and beat some of the traffic that we would encounter on that Saturday morning. Our tour guide, Dan, was awesome! Dan picked us up from our hotel on time and provided us with bottles of water for the ride. He spoke perfect English and was professional, friendly, and informative during our tour. We started off at Peles castle, toured and ate lunch in Brasov, then finished off the tour at Bran (aka Dracula's) Castle. We ate at a wonderful Romanian restaurant in Brasov that Dan recommended. The great thing about this private tour is that it gave us more flexibility with the schedule and what we wanted to see. We enjoyed this tour so much that we booked a day tour of Bucharest for the next day with Mihai!! I am so glad that I chose this specific tour...great tour and great people!!

Being the first time I had organised a tour in a foreign country from Australia I was a little nervous about how it would go. Shouldnt have worried as we were in really good hands! Mihai couldnt do the tour personally so he arranged for Florin to pick us up at our hotel in Bucharest at 8.00 a.m. We arrived in the lobby about ten minutes early to find him waiting for us. Florin spoke very good English, was a non-smoker, the car was clean and comfortable, he provided bottled water and off we went. Florin provided a great commentary throughout the journey. We learned so much about Romania. The scenery was beautiful and we were lucky to see a shepherd with his flock of sheep and maremma dog crossing the road. Being a public holiday in Bucharest the highway was very busy but Florin knew where to divert to avoid the traffic and we had a great side trip through a lovely mountain village. We visit the beautiful Peles Castle and then the Sinai Monastery and stopped for a coffee and delicious Romanian cakes at a nearby cafe before heading off to Bran Castle. At each stop Florin explained the history, the architecture and the significance of the buildings. We had a late lunch in Brasov where Florin encouraged us to try some Romanian foods which we thoroughly enjoyed. Brasov was also well worth the visit. It was a wonderful days touring and we didnt arrive back to our hotel until about 9.00 p.m. The beauty of a private tour meant that we could be flexible with the schedule and with what we wanted to see. Id have no hesitation in recommending this tour and this company. Our expectations were very much exceeded and the three of us were very satisfied customers!

On the day the snow was really bad , we didnt think we would be taking the tour but at 8.00 am prompt Adrian arrived. Adrian is a mine of information, polite and courteous. We would definitely use Adrian again when we return to Bucharest.

An amazing trip from Bucharest to Pelisor Castle, Brasov, and Bran Castle. Our guide Mihai, whose English is excellent, was extremely knowledgeable and shared wonderful information with us. Nicholaus, our driver, was safe, very pleasant, and also knowledgeable and eager to share information with us. The larger Peles Castle was closed for the month of November, but we enjoyed the smaller Pelisor castle. This was a long day trip, due to traffic, and we arrived in Brasov after dark. We loved the trip, however, and would recommend it to others.

Mihai was reliable, his car was very clean, his driving was excellent and he had a very calm manner. He was knowledgable and able to answer all our questions about the area and the history behind everything we were seeing. He spoke excellent English and he was patient and we never felt rushed. He kindly had us rest while he went to get his car, he gave us time to shop, and then offered to carry our purchases. He selected a restaurant with wonderful Romanian food and we had a leisurely lunch. We spent about 12 hours together and had a wonderful day. Mihai would be my first choice if we need a guide to take us on a 1 or several days trip - if we ever return to Romania. You cannot go wrong and I would highly recommend Mihai to my friends and family.

Our private full day tour to Transylvania was everything we hoped for! We were a group of four - two moms with teenage daughters. Our guide, Mihai, was extremely accommodating. He picked us up on time at the hotel even a little early at our request in a very nice Mercedes van. He went over the itinerary for the day and we went on our way. He explained the history of Romania and the importance of the two castles we were about to see. Both castles were spectacular, each in their own way. We ate a delicious Romanian lunch, after which, Mihai was gracious enough to allow the four of us some shopping time. Transylvania is a beautiful part of Romania with an interesting and diverse history. The city of Brasov was beautiful and worth the stop. It was a really long day, but well worth it. Mihai is a very friendly, attentive and fun tour guide. He's very knowledgeable and speaks wonderful English. I highly recommend this tour and Mihai as your guide.

Fantastic tour!!! Our tour guide is Mihai he contacted us before our actual tour to confirm time of pick up and given us highlights of our 1 day tour. So before the actual tour started our expectation was running high with enthusiasm. Mihai informed us that on this day Tuesday Pales Castle is closed but we can walk around and take pictures. Everything about this tour is very educational as we traveled from city to city. Mihai is wonderful and he has a wealth of knowledge about his country and it's history. The knowledge Mihai imparted to us is eyes opening. Mihai is great driver, He made sure we are comfortable with temperatures in his car and made sure that we stop for snacks and to stretch our legs. Bran/Dracula castle was very interesting and educational and here is where my eyes opened to facts and myth of the castle itself. Brasov Medieval City is beautiful with an awe inspiring church architectures that made me feel humbled to behold such Grandeur. We definitely recommend Mihai on this tour. He has goes above and beyond to ensure that we enjoy every minutes of our tour with him and during our stay in Romania. If you love various food you would not be disappointed with Romanians food and it is very inexpensive. Our regret is that we did not get to see inside of Pales Castle but that okay because we will return another time and hope that Viator will grant us Mihai as our private tour guide again. Thank you Viator and thank you Mihai!!!

If you have the time while visiting Bucharest, I strongly recommend visiting the countryside and taking the full day tour of Peles and Bran Castles and of Brasov Old Town. This tour exceeded our expectations. We couldn't have asked for a more professional and courteous guide than Mihai Caprarescu. Mihai is a local guide with a broad knowledge of his country. He provided a very good overview of Romanian history, including the communist period. Mihai is also a very safe driver. Peles Castle is very impressive with beautiful garden terraces and on the edge of a forest. Bran Castle is, of course, known world wide as Dracula's Castle. We stopped for lunch at Vila Bran with a beautiful view of Bran Castle. Lunch prices were very reasonable. Brasov Old Town is a well preserved town with great historical sights and numerous shops. I would highly recommend this tour with Mihai. You won't regret it. If we return to Bucharest, we'll definitely book another tour with Mihai. Mihai, thank you for organizing a wonderful day!

Mihai arrived on time and unfortunately I was still locked in our room. It took another 3/4 hour to get out and he was not fazed by the delay. SO that was a great start. We finally set off on our day tour to Peles castle, Bram castle and Brasov Old Town. Getting to Peles castle the queues were a bit long. School holidays and a weekend combined and he was quite happy to wait in the queue for us to get the tickets but we decided to take the time to instead to explore the grounds. I am sure the inside is great and like many of the manors we have visited in England. Really it is the externals and grounds that are stunning. From there we continued on into Transylvania to Bram Villas for lunch. While we were eating Mihai went up tot the Castle and got our tickets. On some tours we have done we have had terrible lunches. This however was absolutely excellent with a totally amazing view across the village. Then it was on to the castle which was great. Certainly worth the walk through tour and the torture exhibition was a reminder what foulness we as humans invent to..well,, torture our peers. It rained as we left and continued through to Brasov. It was fine by the time we got there and it was another interesting place with the Saxon houses and villages surrounding, the large merchant Square, the Black Church and the White Tower. Then it was a 3 hour trip back to Bucharest arriving about 9:30pm. A very full day for sure but with limited time in Romania it was excellent value and extremely informative. If you pick one and only one tour in Romania, make sure it is this one! Mr. Mihai Caprarescu is extremely polite and professional. Every detail, from the luxury car to the schedule and the stops for having some rest during this excursion, are carefully planned and offer to the visitor a unique experience combining the magnificent Romanian nature, the beautiful monuments, knowledge for the countrys history, society and traditions. Mihai has a broad knowledge of his country and of the wonderful places we were visiting and he is happy to learn more about his guests country too. What is even more important is that this is a private tour which means you do not have to stick to a rigid inflexible schedule. Mihai was kind enough to put up with my annoying habit to take pictures of nearly everything and to make extra stops just for that. He even went off the schedule in Brasov, when I told him I was looking for a specific area of this medieval beautiful town. The excursion is also really worth it: the Peles royal palace is like a fairy-tale, the Draculas Castle is straight out of a movie or a book and Brasov is like a cart-postal. It is impossible for me to describe the magnificent and wild beauty of the Carpathians. Last but not least the restaurant we ate at Vila Bran: exceptional local food at very reasonable prices with polite staff. The restaurant is overlooking the valley and offers unique view to the Draculas Castle. I was very excited because I was having my lunch looking at the Draculas Castle wrapped in fog truly, an unforgettable experience. Oh, I even had the chance to touch a sweet baby deer. To sum up, I have no hesitation at all to recommend this excursion, a true value-for-money with Mr. Mihai Caprarescu. Mihai, thank you and keep up the great work!

I took the private tour since it was similar price as shared tour and usually I don't like to wait/depend on others, and it was really a great choice! Mihai made us very comfortable and answered all of our questions about Romania! Lunch was great and the view of the Bran castle too! I recommend this tour!
