Måste-göra-tur i Rumänien

Vlad var vår reseguide och han var fantastisk över alla förväntningar. Han var mycket kunnig om allt man kan tänkas fråga om. Han tog oss till ytterligare platser längs vägen som var väl värda besöket och lät oss spendera tid på att göra saker vi var intresserade av. Saltgruvan var fantastisk. Mud Volcanoes är ännu bättre än väntat. Väl värt resan. Inga köer eller turister alls. Vlad tog oss i precis rätt tid.

Denna turné var ett bra sätt att komma bort från Bukarest för en dag och se Rumäniens landsbygd. Saltgruvan var overklig, de leriga vulkanerna gav några fantastiska bilder trots att det regnade och LaCerta-vinet var något av det bästa jag har haft (så lätt att dricka). Vi rekommenderar starkt denna turné och vår reseguide, Victor, gjorde dagen ännu bättre.

The salt mine is huge but not spectacular. The visit to Lacerta winery and the wine tasting experience was the highlight of the day, so we would strongly recommend taking this tour on a weekend. The muddy volcanoes are a nice attraction as it is not something that we've seen before. The guide, Mihai, was very courteous, made sure we made the most of our day, picked us up on time and provided useful information not just on the visited attractions but on Romanian history and attractions.

The salt mine was absolutely stunning and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of Lacerta winery. Muddy volcanos had an appearance of a Luna like landscape. Frolin was very professional and knowledgeable - a great tour!

The best tour we did whilst in Bucharest. Ionut our guide for the day was great. The salt mine was incredible, it was huge. The winery was on the side of a beautiful valley with great views and good wine. The muddy volcanoes were fun to see, with a moon like terrain. Would highly recommend.

First, the tour was available, so I was upset that things didn't work out schedule-wise. However, Mihai was great an actually messaged me directly to ask what our plans were. He was able to arrange a tour even though it was not originally offered, so kudos to him for reaching out. Next, we were not able to take the tour with Mihai, so I was a little worried when he informed me that it would not be him taking us around, but one of his colleagues. I decided to go with it, and boy was it worth it. He set us up with a friend Adrian, who also runs tours in the area highly recommend. Adrian got in touch with us early on it was just two of us, and was respectful, prompt, and super knowledgeable. He picked us up right on time at 0730 at our apartment downtown and drove us everywhere throughout the day. First was the mine, which was great with him as our guide. Next, the winery, which was absolutely awesome, and lastly, we were not able to visit the muddy volcanoes, but Adrian had a nice little stop at a cool monastery on an island in Snagov, which was a nice way to end the day. In all, we had an awesome time. Mihai, though I never met him, was a good coordinator and helpful. Adrian was great as well. Fun, excellent English, and the perfect amount of chatty while not being overbearing. It's rare to get a tour guide like this. Great experience in Romania!

The day tour we picked included a visit to the Slanic Prahova Salt Mine, a winery in Dealu Mare region and the Muddy Volcanoes in Buzau County, which was a good combination. The excursion was well organized, and as we only had two whole days to spend in Romania, this trip allowed us to see countryside outside the capital, too. Because it had been raining seven days continuously before our visit in early November, the Muddy Volcanoes park authorities didnt allow us to enter the volcanoes area by foot for obvious reasons. However, even a roadside overview was worth the drive to the sight the area is quite unique for continental Europe. Our guide had a very good knowledge about all the places we visited. All in all, this tour can well be recommended.

Wow! The salt mines are not to be missed! This is Romania's hidden gem....Mihai was our guide..knowledge was great and made the trip really enjoyable...Mud volcanoes were not what we expected...a little disappointing, but still worth the trip as it is something very different...Thank you Mihai..

The driver and guide Mihai is very friendly and accommodating. He communicated with me prior to the tour by email and phone. He is also a very careful driver and thoughtful enough to slow down or stop the car when I wanted to take pictures along the way. I decided to take this tour because I wanted to visit some rural areas away from Bucharest. Visiting the salt mine was a very unique experience. I was impressed by the scale of it. The salty air feels good in the lungs too. Lacerta winery is a small winery focused more on the quality than quantity. Learning the wine making process as it was explained in the winery tour was very enjoyable. They have a wide variety of wines you can choose from for tasting and they are really good! The winery is situated on top of a gentle hill, surrounded by 82 hectares of their vineyards. The mud volcanoes are definitely something different to see and the view is stunning. We were there at the perfect timing when the sun was just setting. On the way to the volcano, we went through some small villages. I was lucky to see cow herding on the way back. It was a real treat for me to see the rural life and nature. It would have been impossible for me to experience all these things in one day without being on this tour, and the beautify of a private tour is that it is flexible and customizable. This tour is highly recommended!

We had a wonderful day traveling with Mihai. He is informative and friendly. Above all, he is a cautious driver and we were able to avoid an accident on the stoney road to the winery when a car went out of control in front of us. He was not in a hurry in any way so we really enjoyed our day.
