Did not correlate with, or track our location well at all. Ended up turning it off. Feel like it was a waste of money. Especially since Harvard has a free app to guide visitors.

The app is average and content is only on a very small part of the uni. Turned it off after 5 mins as it was constantly restarting not recognising you have already listened.

Great information on the audio and walking around the beautiful campus. It was a little confusing to determine where the specific site was so we got out of sync with the tour a couple of times, but overall great option.

Viator app not as user friendly as hoped

Pros: Information given was ample & interesting. Viator staff were helpful By phone to get us email with link & password to phone app. Cons: App was difficult to download and map with stops wasn’t clear. Didn’t show pins as it said it would. Didn’t enjoy the experience as much as the Freedom Trail self guided walking tour we did day before.

Interesting tour of Harvard with some good bits of historical background. Neat the way each bit started playing as you got to the right place but the map could have been clearer as it was sometimes a bit hard to figure out where to go next. Overall though a good way to do a "private" tour of Harvard

Not worth it. Guided tour is better

We ended up having to pay for the guided tour. The self guided tour was very hard to follow, it should be incorporated with Google maps or Google lens to make it easy to follow along. It was hard to tell where we were. The map should also show where you are currently standing

Usually, the tour has a real-time location tracking feature, but it's possible that there was an issue with granting the app permission to access your device's location. If you want to try another tour or travel somewhere else, I would happily exchange it for one of my other self-guided tours. Please contact me through the app as soon as possible.

A scam

I don´t know what I paid for. I searched for the provider who was not present in the defined place. I walked through the campus all by myself and did not need any sort of ticket. In hindsight I concluded there is no need to any sort of ticket, which then begs the question: What are you exactly selling when you advertise a self guided tour. This is dishonest.

Considering that this isn't an online ticket, it sounds like your review is for something else entirely! This is an audio walking tour of the Harvard Campus that you can take on your own. I also have 100 other self-guided tours for other parks, scenic drives, cities, and historic sites in the US — hopefully, you’ll get the chance to try them next time! The intro and map were good, but the tour devolved into stopping in front of dormitories and incapsulating the accomplishments of celebrities like who roomed there. I would like to get a broader picture of university life, applicant selection, and what makes Harvard, Harvard.
