Alfredo och Jorge var båda mycket trevliga och kunniga. Men trots turnéns namn är den inte all inclusive. Vi fick betala för entré till Chinchen Itza, flytväst, alkoholfria drycker, skåp och annat. Totalt cirka $ 80 extra per person. På frågan om de ytterligare betalningarna sa de till oss att "all inclusive" bara är en catchy titel. Cenoten ser inte ut som på bilden längre.

Mycket informativt!

Tog den här resan i januari, precis före pandemin, och njöt verkligen av turnén. Guiden var extremt kunnig om Mayakultur och arkeologi och gav insikter i Chichen Itza som du inte skulle få om du gick på egen hand. Ik Kil-cenoten var vacker. Mycket folk men definitivt värt det! Var dock beredd på en lång dag, så planera inte att göra något annat den dagen.

Sammantaget var det en mycket trevlig turné, särskilt för priset. Den stora cenoten och Chichen Itza var fantastiska platser. \nFördelar:\n- Fick se alla delar av turnén med bra mängd information. Obs, sista minuten bytte de från Ik Kil till en annan cenote (dock var det lika bra och mycket mindre trångt).\n- Att åka från Tulum var en bonus eftersom vi var de sista som blev upphämtade och först att hämtas. tillbaka (spara mycket tid)\n- Lunchbuffén var riktigt trevlig (många alternativ och mat av god kvalitet).\n- Svar och frågor om turnén kom snabbt via Whatup \nNackdelar:\n- Inte tillräckligt med tid för att utforska Valladolid (bör vara minst en timme)\n- Ta ut ytterligare försäljningsargument för souvenirer - vid cenoten var vi tvungna att gå igenom en souvenirbutik och lyssna på ett försäljningsargument för maya-souvenirer. Det tar bort upplevelsen.\n- Entréavgiften till Chichen Itza som samlas in av reseguiden varierar om den betalas i pesos (den följer den amerikanska dollarn). Vi ville betala i pesos, men de tog ut mer eftersom den amerikanska dollarn gick upp - jag trodde att vi var i Mexiko och om man betalade i lokal valuta borde priset inte fluktuera. Det var ingen stor förändring, men det är huvudmannen - något minskar förtroendet för turnén. \n

Turnén var mycket bra planerad och mycket informativ. Ricardo är så söt och brinner för vad han gör! Förbered dig på en lång dag eftersom vi hämtades från hotellet runt 7 am och återvände kl 20. Men du får verkligen se allt. Det var så trevligt att lära sig så mycket om Chichen Itza och den fulla bakgrunden på mayanerna. Ricardo är mycket kunnig och gjorde turnén mycket rolig. Cenoten är oerkligt och bara den mest magiska platsen jag någonsin har varit på. Det var också väldigt speciellt att stanna i den lilla Maya-byn och buffén var mycket bra. Jag skulle definitivt rekommendera denna turné till andra och skulle själv ta igen.

Hur mycket information du får beror mycket på guiden. Försök att undvika tvåspråkiga turer, du kommer att förlora mycket tid på att lyssna på det språk du inte förstår istället för att ställa frågor av ditt intresse.

Vår tur leddes av Luis, Jesus och Martin och de var alla mycket hjälpsamma och informativa om hur dagen skulle gå och förväntningar som skulle följa. Luis är en snabb talare, men det beror delvis på att han måste säga allt på både engelska och spanska. Om du är uppmärksam är det inte svårt att följa det han säger! Vi hämtades i tid, dagen var organiserad och givna inställda tider för allt men det var tillräckligt för att njuta av varje plats. Även om det verkar som en lång dag ser du många olika webbplatser och går vidare snabbt. Utnyttja den tid du får på varje plats! Min vän och jag själv lämnade båda känslan som om vi fick se en hel del Mexiko på en dag som vi inte skulle ha sett förut.

Falls advertising This tour started not very well at all, we were told that our pick up time was 7:30 am, when we got up the next morning at 6:00am I had a whatsapp message that our pick up time was now 6:35am, that is so unacceptable. We almost did not make it. BE AWARE !!! This in NOT A Chichen Itza tour AND ABSOLUTELY NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE! what you are buying is only the bus ride and the lunch (not even including the beverages, you have to pay water, drinks and juice plus they don’t tell you before you order ) it DOES NOT include the entrance to Chichen Itza. At the canote, you have to pay for locker and pay for renting the “mandatory” life vest! If you are prepared to put your hands in your pockets for everything, then no problem, but we were not aware. The explanation is lacking details. I suggest buying this tour at your resort and make sure to ask what you are paying for.

Absolute Must See!

I’ll admit the 1 star reviews I perused spooked me a little but we did it anyways and I’m SO happy we did! Our guide was Miriam and driver was Julian. We were so well taken care of by Miriam. She was super knowledgeable and wanted to ensure no one got ripped off or scammed, told us who were safe to buy things from etc. Be super prepared that Chichen Itza will be HOT and humid; wear t-shirts not tank tops to protect yourself from the sun; bring plenty of sunscreen and reapply often, you will sweat it off completely; bring at least 2-3L of water per person or be prepared to buy it and bring/buy electrolyte packs if you can. It was 37°C (end of April) when we went, only saving grace was partial cloud coverage and the breeze. On the way to the site we stopped in the Mayan community of Kaua about 40 mins out of Chichen Itza. We were able to go to the bathroom, get snacks and learn about the obsidian that’s found in Mexico. Upon arrival to Chichen Itza, Miriam expedited the process of getting tickets and into the archaeological site itself as fast as she could with it being busy ~15mins and she had stated this ahead of time. She gave a great tour and showed the highlights of Chichen Itza prior to some free time where we walked around and explored the site. Back on the bus to the Chichikan Cenote, Miriam explained what it was and why it is sacred to the Mayans. We went down to the cenote first which is down a good amount of steep steps down (it’s 25m from the surface to water level), so may not be the best option for those with limited mobility. Be prepared that while the entrance to the cenote is covered in your tour cost, the optional lockers, towels if you don’t bring one and mandatory life jackets are not and cost 60 MXN each (we shared a locker and each got a life jacket. You can’t/wouldn’t want to go in the cenote without one anyways as it’s 25m deep). The cenote was cold but so refreshing and when the sun shone in from the jungle above, it was purely magical and otherworldly. Miriam recommended the pork tacos and they were absolutely the highlight of the buffet! Drinks do cost extra if you want them but we were fine with the water we brought with us. A quick 30 minute stop in Valladolid where the adults tasted tequila with a friend of Miriam in one of the local shops and families had a chance to get ice cream etc for the littles and then started the journey back to Playa del Carmen. We were in a smaller tour group than Miriam said was usual, we were 28 people instead of 50 so we were able to spread out on the bus a bit which made the ride a lot more comfortable. ONLY FAULT WE FOUND was that we were the first scheduled pick up on the tour at 6:30am in Playa Del Carmen and with all the pick ups from the other resorts in the Riviera Maya and then backtracking to the highway we didn’t really leave Playa Del Carmen until 9:00am and they were 10-15mins late for pickup. I will say though that as soon as I confirmed the location for pickup via WhatsApp, SAT Mexico sent me the pickup confirmation email and another prior to the tour with a picture of exactly where we were being picked up which was super helpful and ensured we were in the right place. All in all it was something I’ll never forget and we can check off a world wonder! All I can say is be punctual, respectful and friendly to your fellow tour group! We made good friends with the others on the tour and LISTEN TO THE DEPARTURE TIMES, Miriam repeatedly told us they’d leave us if we were late getting back to the bus lol. MUCHOS GRACIAS MIRIAM Y JULIAN!!

Recommend the tour but have realistic expectations!

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide Cesar was very helpful and knowledgeable. Chichen Itza is amazing, the cenote was fun, lunch was pretty good (all you can eat buffet), and the stop in Valledolid was nice although pretty short. I do want to provide some honest insights so other travelers can tether their expectations. First, the bus trip is 2 or 3 hours just to Chichen Itza and there will be a lot of bus time. We had a 14 hour day but it was worth it. Also, if you are hoping to see Chichen Itza before the heat of the day and the crowds then this tour is not for you. We arrived at about 10:30. I also felt a bit rushed while we were there and wished we had more time to see all the ruins but the heat is brutal so I also wanted to get back to the bus. You will encounter a lot of vendors trying to sell you stuff, and this experience is built into the tour. Don’t feel obligated to buy anything but supporting the Mayan people while we tour their communities is worthwhile. The cenote is cool, but not very clear and you’ll just have to try not to think about how many people have swam in it before you. Overall I really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it!!

We waited for 30 min for pickup, the entrance to Chichen Itza was not included: add 36USD per person. The guide was making more jokes than informed commentary, the Cenote we visited was not the one in the advertisement and the bottom was covered 80% in concrete. In spite of the very hot weather no cold water was provided. I could see that other companies were providing cold water. To swim in Cenote you need a compulsory life vest: another 6USD. The spaces between the bus seats were uncomfortable.

Reviewed yesterday Our guide Martin was fun and friendly and gave us detailed information on the mathematics behind the Mayan culture . My only suggestion is to add information on the basics such as when the pyramid was built, and more details on that aspect, the building materials , how long it took etc. The Cenote swim and buffet were amazing. The only other comment is that the visit to the town at the end of the trip (Valladolid) was only a half hour dropoff, not enough time to do anything. 4 stars not 5. Very nice tour overall.

I was super excited for this excursion. I got injured and needed to rent a mobile scooter. I was extremely disappointed I was not able to go because you could not accommodate a mobile scooter. Waiting on a refund.

We throughly enjoyed this trip! Although it was a long day it was absolutely worth it, our guides were Tino and Paul and they were brilliant! Really funny but also very informative and we learnt so much about Chichen Itza! We booked the all-inclusive option and we were not asked to pay the $43 tax other reviews have mentioned, I'm not sure if it's an oversight or they just actually include it in the all-inclusive option, as it's definitely not all-inclusive if there's hidden costs! Definitely take the cash to cover it just incase. We only needed cash for anything we wanted to buy from the vendors there and any extra drinks at lunch (one drink is included with the AI option). And tips or course! The only major downside was that their policy is to always have the AC set at 24°, which is too hot and it was very uncomfortable on the coach as a result. Definitely needs to be lower, sweating on a coach for hours does not feel great! We also had some initial confusion with our pick up time, as we were given different times, but we got this sorted at 9pm, when we were being picked up at 6:45 the following morning, again not great but it was fine! I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone, just be mindful that's it's a very hot day and the coach AC does not help! Thanks Tino and Paul! 😊

Chichén Itzá and Cenote Swim

We had a great tour with Norma, Alan, and our driver Julyses. The Chichen Itzá portion of the trip was my favorite. I loved all of the history and background our guides shared. Although it was VERY hot, so bring lots of water. The cenote swim was refreshing and the lunch included in the trip was delicious. The bus was also brand new, had reclining seats, and had great AC.
