NITMILUK NATIONAL PARK

Great tour. Highlight of the day was the power boat cruise in Katherine Gorge. (Nitmiluk) We were lucky that the water levels were high for such a ride. If I'm not mistaken this takes place only about ten times a year. Edith Falls was also a beautiful sight. A special mention to our guide Becs. Such a bubbly cheerful person. Made this trip so enjoyable. And a great driver too.

Excellent day! Becks (driver / tour guide) was utterly fantastic and really invested in giving us the best day possible. There is a lot of driving but she made sure we were comfortable and entertained with facts, anecdotes and music. The natural beauty of the places we visited was astounding. Highly recommend.

A fabulous tour that i especially recommend to solo travellers to meet like minded people. The sites were amazing and Becs our tour guide was loads of fun, very knowledgeable and very accommodating. Just book, you won’t regret it. This is what seeing the NT is all about.

So much more special than I'd guessed

Katherine Gorge is awe inspiring! I thought it would be enjoyable but had no idea how special it is. One of the great sights! And we had a brilliant guide, knowledgeable, mellifluous, calm, alert. Edith Falls was just wonderful! Soft, warm, clear water, all to ourselves, beautiful red rocks and greenery and the lively, gentle falls. A delight. So glad I did this - a lifetime memory!

Katherine..Bus trip is 4.5hrs one way

The river cruise itself was good, knowledge tour guide. Edith Falls was dismissal compared to other Falls. The journey from Darwin is much longer than advertised, overpriced and uninspiring. My husband and I had to sit at opposite ends of the bus due to his height and needing leg room. Short single lady would not give up her roomy seat, so i could sit next to my husband. All in all very disappointing, hugely expensive, considering there is no food provided.

A Must-Do Tour in the NT

Visiting Katherine Gorge, now known as Nitmiluk, is a must-do when visiting the NT. Emily was our fun and knowledgable tour guide, our thanks to her for ensuring a great day for everyone on board. My only negative is that this is a very long and hot day, so recommend either the tour commences earlier (5.30-6.00) or is offered as an overnight tour.

Great experience and well-organised tour

The Gorge is stunning and the cruise was excellent. Cruise guides were knowledgeable and navigate well through the river, plenty of time to see and experience the gorge and take lots of photos. Swimming at Edith Falls was a highlight too and a perfect way to cool off after a hot day. Our tour guide Adam was very friendly and knowledgeable - he gave us enough information and explained what we were seeing, but also let us rest and travel quietly at the right times. If you’ve only got a day, definitely the way to see Katherine Gorge. It’s a long day, but very worth it.

Gorge and falls getaway in the dry

An extremely well planned tour. Lovely and experienced female driver. We had time for a good swim in Edith falls, which was fantastic. Came back home on time and the company on the bus was great too. I live in Darwin but hiring a trip makes traveling easier and less risky.
