Andy är fantastisk! Jag är ett fan av guidade turer. Jag är också ett fan av mindre gruppsamtal. Under alla mina år på resande fot var detta en av mina favoritguidade turer. Andy var Personlig, tålmodig, men också mycket informativ och rolig. Stressen med att bråka med främlingar, på semester, samtidigt som man kör och navigerar i ett schema är en mycket utmanande uppgift och Andy fick det hela att verka supersmidigt. Han höll vår grupp på schemat men fortfarande med tillräckligt med tid för att utforska varje stopp. Mängden tid att köra jämfört med sevärdheter att se kändes välbalanserad. Vårt boende var också riktigt bra med tanke på priset och läget. Andy såg till att vi kom in i ft augustus fortfarande med tillräckligt med tid för att äta middag och gav oss massor av information för att fatta våra egna beslut. Andy var en sådan älskling och nästa gång jag är tillbaka i Skottland hoppas jag kunna boka med honom som min guide igen.

Two days with a legend

This tour was our first introduction to Scotland and it set the tone for the remainder of our stay. Our guide, Gary "the legend" was knowledgeable and entertaining. We had so much fun. Accommodations were wonderful and the sites have to be seen to be believed...pictures don't do it justice.

We really enjoyed this excursion. The scenery is amazing. Lots of stops to get lots of pictures. It was a nice smaller bus with a desirably small group of people. Our excursion included a comfortable overnight stay at Loch Ness with a wonderful breakfast. The only part I would change is that we were offered an optional boat ride from one of the castles and that didn't end up begin worth the extra cost.

This was an amazing trip. The scenery speaks for itself...mysterious in the mist, lush green in the sun, wild, and bursting with history. Our driver, Rory, was wonderful, answering questions, filling us in on history and story telling. The B and B overnight was perfect with congenial hosts and a hearty breakfast the next day. This trip was everything I had hoped for and more.

Our 2-Day trip to the Highlands...

Our 2-Day trip to the Highlands provided some beautiful sights and experiences. Jessica was our guide, and she was very entertaining with many stories involving the history of the Highlands. She was always warm and friendly and wanted to help everyone on the tour as much as possible. We stayed overnight in Drumnadrochit which allowed us quick access to Urquhart Castle the next morning followed by a wonderful cruise on Loch Ness. The drive through Glencoe Valley was awesome, and seeing the Commando Memorial with Ben Nevis in the background will always be remembered. As a bonus, we were able to see the Clava Cairns which was great. We were running short on time and had to cut short our visit to the Culloden Museum and Battlefield. We then rushed to tour the Tomatin Whiskey factory, but the tour was canceled for some reason. Also, the Viator description of the 2 day tour noted a visit to Loch Lomond, but we did not see it. Prior to the tour, I even had Albert at Viator check to see if Loch Lomond was on the tour. He called Highland Experience Tours, and they verified the visit to Loch Lomond. Due to the last two items, I lowered my rating from 5 stars to 4.

I cannot rate this tour highly enough. The guide, Mark, was amazing! Weather was a little dicey I went in June, but it always cleared up at exactly the right time. The only regret I have is that now I wish I had opted for a longer tour. I got a ton of spectacular pictures. There is some competition, but I truly feel this two day trip was the highlight of my Scotland/England trip.

This excursion was one of our favorite portions of our 14-day trip to the UK! Our tour guide, Barney was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and man could he handle the bus! He shared historical information about each spot we visited and even incorporated a great music playlist as well! The small group environment our tour was 11 people was very supportive of the itinerary and we stopped enough to keep the blood flowing and to get good photos. Every stop was very interesting and had a story to go with it. We toured castles, met Hamish the Hairy Coo, and had time to explore Fort Augustus on our own. Our overnight accommodations at the Loch Ness Guest House superior guest room was very clean with a private bath. The breakfast offerings were very plentiful and gave us a great start to our day. The second day was more driving fewer stops but the Urquhart Castle and loch boat ride were great. Our only disappointment was the rest of the group was less excited about the distillery visit at Tomatin so our visit was cut short. Barney was fantastic, even returning to the guest house to pick up personal items my husband he accidentally left behind. I highly recommend this tour and if you can, request Barney. It was a great tour, in part because of our manager/guide/driver Jim. Extremely knowledgeable, articulate and humorous, my wife and I enjoyed every bit of information he gave us on the local history ancient and recent both, battles, traditions, places. We especially enjoyed learning about Glencoe, Urquhart castle and battle of Culloden. Next time perhaps I would do a three day trip but we got the maximum out of the two day trip as well as we stopped at many locations for taking pictures, eating and using the rest rooms. We were a family of five three kids but so many places in just two days was still lot of fun and we did not feel too rushed. The hotel was also quite nice - we just felt that the overall pricing of the tour could have been slightly lower but apart from that it was 5 out of 5 !!! And thanks Jim.

The tour itself wasn't too bad as it covered every attraction as advertised. However my family and I are extremely unsatisfied with the accommodation arrangement as we ended paying almost twice the price of what the B and B actually charged. We've paid the tour company 60 p.p. for our B and B. However when we are in Lochness the driver informed us that there's a last minute change of accom and the accom we are going to stay is only charging 35 pounds p.p. Given that there's 4 of us in the group we ended up paying an extra 100 pounds! We just think that the arrangement is such a disappointment. All the stops are short and it was quite rush at some point. As a results we can't really enjoy the tour.

this was the best tour ever. We rode in a 16 person tour van, met people from all over the world. The tour guide was very knowledgable. We stopped many times to allow us to take pictures. The B and B was the best. It was clean, the hostesses were fun, they offered a large hot breakfast or a continental, had fresh cold highland water too! The restaurants and towns we stopped were all great. The Loch Ness boat tour had a great guide and very informative. I would recommend this tour.

I loved this! Truly a wonderful way to see the countryside and learn about Scottish history. Our tour leader Frank was unbelievable patient with our incessant questions and had such a great sense of humor! I usually rent a car and strike out on my own not wanting to abide by a schedule but everything was timed out so well on this, it has really changed my mind about tours. I booked another trip while I was still on this one! You cannot go wrong with this! Beautiful scenery and well thought out in every step!
