Starta din Franz Josef Glacier turné på en helikopterbas i staden. Få en säkerhetsinformation och försedd med utrustat redskap, inklusive en vattentät jacka, glaciärstövlar med strumpor och iskramar och en isöxa.

Därefter styrs AS355-tvillingmotorns ekorre, en helikopter vars öppen planlösning erbjuder fantastisk utsikt för alla sex passagerarna. Höja över avlägsna landskap med tillgång till den 7,5 mil långa (12 km) Franz Josef Glacier. Flyga höger genom höga toppar, över djupt krossar och förbi orörda blåa vattenvägar. Beundra den glittrande isen före en spännande landning högt uppe på glaciären mellan två isfall.

Our guide Anna was wonderful giving us a memorable experience on the glacier and educating us along the. She always emphasized safety. Even when the weather turned for a time delaying our extricate she kept things fun and kept us warm in a large divvy. We truly got the full experience!

This operation was very organized and prepared. Gear was distributed smoothly. The helicopter ride to the glacier was short but beautiful and the hike was well done. My only concern was that there were so many groups on the glacier we stood around on the ice not moving for a great deal of time. Would have preferred more actual walking.

Caleb was a great guide. Fantastic experience. Beautiful up on the glacier. And helicopter ride was fun. The team were committed to a safe experience and watched the weather closely, communicating with us the whole time. Our trip was cut short due to a deterioration on of the weather but in spite of this Caleb ensured we got the best out of our experience. A highlight of the trip.

Unforgettable experience made by great guides and beautiful glacier

What an unbelievable and special trip this was. Having the chance of exploring a glacier is a once in a lifetime opportunity due to climate change. However, this would not have been the trip without the utterly professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff from the Glacier Guides. Alex, our guide, is an incredible human being who made our trip extra special. He had the ability to comfort, make jokes and conversate with people from multiple backgrounds and ages. Due to weather, we were actually stuck on the glacier for an extra 2 hours. We were completely warned of this prior to going on the trip. Although there was tensions of anxiety throughout the customers, all the staff were very reassuring and comforting, turning the 'bad luck' in to a much better experience overall. You must do this experience.

Worst Customer Service.

Our Heli-Hike booking was cancelled by the operator due to the weather and this is not the problem, because we are aware that this can happen, but it has now been 11 days and I sent mails to all the email addresses that we received from Viator and all of them are bouncing back as undeliverable. We also tried to get some help on the Viator website, where it says that it is easy to get support, but I could not find an option to send a message and to actually get help, there were only links to help articles. We don't know how we can get a refund for the fees that we paid to Viator in advance. Very bad customer service!!!!

Amazing experience. We absolutely loved it and Would recommend it to everyone! Well organised company, our guide Max was informative, passionate and funny. The only negative feedback I have is that on the ticket it says arrive 15mins before booking time however, on the brochure it says arrive 1.15 hrs ahead of time. So we arrived an hour early just to be sure and was told 15 mins ahead of booking time is fine. They do that so people aren't late. My husband and I could have had an extra 1hr of sleep. A suggestion is an email a day before should be sent out to confirm booking and meet up times.
