This was a very informative, little tour(one and a half hours) of the beautiful house and gardens of Monet. The guide, Bertram, was very friendly and full of facts and history. Easy to find meeting spot, a short walk from the shuttle stop. Skip the line is always a good option too.

The gardens were the most beautiful part of the tour. Our guide was informative and patient when we needed to linger. Monet's house was cute. The history of Monet's coming to wealth and purchasing the property interesting.

Guide too New!

Our Guide was new. It was his first day he said. We booked an English tour, but he did not speak English too well. He had to read from notes. Tour said it was 2 hours. Tour only lasted 1 hour. Nothing personal against the guide. I blame the company!

We had the amazing opportunity to visit and walk the grounds of Monet. We were able to visualize why he loved the house and grounds so much.

Our guide was delightful and interesting so my feelings are nothing about her The tour didn't really offer more than we could have done on our own. There was no skipping the line. I don't think the cost of the tickets was justified for what additional experience we got. While the information was interesting it wasn't worth $50 more. In fact, I didn't realize I paid for a tour. I thought I was getting tickets for the house and gardens when I did it online. I own that. Again our tour guide was so friendly, and told us interesting things. She was great.

Terrible Communication

Nothing, I will never use Viator again. Had car trouble and arrived 15 minutes late. Many calls to the tour number and no one answered. Tried chad and no one ever responded. They never called us to see were we were either. Finally was able to get a hold of Viator and they refuse to do anything about the lack of communication. Never use again and we travel 3 to 4 times a year stay away.

DON’T TRUST VIATOR!!! They don’t care

Horrible service from VIATOR who sold and resold our tour multiple times to tour companies we did not know, and as a result, the tour guide didNOT SHOW UP. This destroyed the entire day’s itinerary and an entire vacation day. This cost us about a $1,000 with hotel and rental car. AND VIATOR DID NOT CARE. They screwed us and knew there was nothing the customer can do about it. DON’T TRUST VIATOR

Really great tour. The house and gardens were beautiful and our tour guide made it extra special. Sheila did an amazing job of telling us the history of Monet and this place. Being able to skip the lines was a huge plus and she got us through the hoards of people very well. I definitely recommend it.

Giverny is a beautiful and quaint small town, the gardens being the highlight of the town. We enjoyed our personalized tour in English and the tour guide provided lots of interesting nuggets about Monet's professional and personal life, the design of the gardens, and his upbringing as an artist. Not a big deal, but we stood in line to get into Monet's house while the tour information says "skip the line".

Save your money; don’t book in advance

We were at the meeting point at 9:55; well within the allotted time. Our tour guide was no where to be found. We tried communicating and got no response. Viator couldn’t help us at all. We hired another person near the location. Lost our money on the first. It isn’t worth it to book in advance.

Sheila was very knowledgeable about Monet. She was also friendly and considerate, waiting for late arrivals. She had little audio receivers, which were helpful in hearing her as the group dispersed in the garden. It was great not to wait in the long lines outside the house, but enter right in.

Great way to visit the Money House and Gardens

This tour was a great way for us to visit the Monet House and Gardens. Our cruise ship was docked in the next town over, Vernon, and we just had an afternoon to visit Giverny. Sheila was an excellent tour guide, and provided a wealth of information regarding Monet. The tour is roughly divided into two parts: the house and the gardens. A nice part of the tour is that you don't have to wait in line to get in. For the house part, Sheila provides some background information, and then you explore the house on your own. For the garden part, she walks you through all the different parts of the garden and provides information on Monet throughout.
