Perfect way to see 3 spectacular places in Halifax

We ended up with Mulualem in avan with 2 others. He was a great guide and went out of his way to give us extra experiences. We enjoyed the three places on the tour but a favorite was the tour we got from the pastor of St. John’s Lutheran church on Mahone Bay.

Our driver was very knowledgeable and made the experience special. He had a tough time given that we were in Halifax just after the flooding which made some of the roads impassable. He still managed to get us to Peggy's Cove.

Jonathon our tour guide was AMAZING!!! He made the whole experience memorable and enjoyable. Peggys Cove, Lunenberg and Mahone Bay are beautiful and something to see. It was the highlight of my trip to Nova Scotia. I would definitely recommend to anyone that is interested in this experience.!!

A beautiful trip to a quaint Peggy’s Cove, a charming town of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. We had a great weather to enjoy and enough time to explore around town. Jonathan was our excellent guide and have a great sense of humor so you’re always entertained. I would highly recommend this tour.

We chose to book this tour as the itinerary described under 'What to Expect' seemed promising and interesting. My husband and I, as well as our two friends, were very excited! Prior to describe our experience, I wish to mention how appreciative we were that Jonathan allowed us to bring, free of charge, our 5 months old infant. It would have been impossible for us, as we were visiting the region, to take part into an activity that doesn't allow babies. Now let me share our experience - It was no surprise to us that we would be paired with other travellers when doing this tour. Being in our thirties, we did not mind at all. We ended with 4 seniors that were stopping in Halifax during their cruise. They were amicable and courteous. We left Downtown Halifax around 9:30 a.m. Our first stop was Lunenburg. On Viator, under 'What to Expect', we can read that 2 hours would be spent in that little town. Yet, we were really there for an hour. We were a little disappointed but did not complain as we thought we would be spending more time in Mahone Bay and Peggy's Cove. Our second stop was Mahone Bay. Again, we stayed for 30 minutes which was barely enough to grab food to go from a local restaurant. Everyone had to eat in the van. It was very disappointing as we didn't have time to enjoy the town and we felt rushed. Our third and last stop was Peggy's Cove. On Viator, under 'What to Expect', we can read that 1 hour would be spent seing the oldest lighthouse in North America. Unfortunately, we stayed 30 minutes and solely because I asked. Otherwise, we would have stayed for 15 minutes. Again, we felt rushed and didn't have time to enjoy the location. We were supposed to stop at the Acadian Maple Products - as per the description on Viator - but that didn't happen. The tour was supposed to be 7 hours (approx.) - as per the Viator description - but it lasted 6 hours at most and the time allocated for each destination was reduced considerably. Traffic did not impact our itinerary nor having our infant with us (all his needs were answered during the driving portion or during the short time allocated at each location. He never cried and everyone felt like he was of great company). We were rushed simply because we had to arrive before boarding time for the other passengers which we managed to arrive an hour prior to and was not mentioned to us when booking. The tour could have been amazing but it was tailored for 4 persons rather than the entire group. It didn't take into consideration our needs nor expectations of experiencing the tour we paid for. Prior to making this review, I have contacted the provider allowing the opportunity to explain. I have yet to receive an email or a response. I would not recommend this tour unless you don't mind being rushed and not enjoying the beauties of these small towns.

The guider was telling story for us along the way. He came from Ghana. Before listening his story, I've nevet know humen and snakes can be friendly. He made us laugh and happier. He knows where is the good place for taking pictuers. He cares about every guest.

Jonathan was our tour guide for the day and was so knowledgeable, funny and considerate. Before we even started, we booked a day that wasn't meeting the minimum participant requirement and Jonathan/the tour company allowed us to have a more private tour, still hosting us and taking us through the itinerary to Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, and Mahone Bay for a total 8h tour after picking us up at our hotel at 9:30am. Jonathan shared his knowledge of all the areas we visited and his enthusiasm for meeting new people and guiding them around new places. We are very grateful for the chance to have toured with Jonathan and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in visiting these great spots.

The tour was always going to be great because of Johnathon, our tour guide. Funny, knowledgeable and a local in Halifax, he gave us the history of the area, as well as stories of his own. Lunenberg and the surrounding areas are stunning and have unique histories all their own. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you can go with a small number of people and most especially if Johnathon is your guide.

Our tour guide Jonathan was excellent! Super knowledgeable and entertaining. Peggys cove wasnt too busy when we went (on a Sunday) which was great for photos. We had a lobster roll at Toms lobster shack in Peggys cove and it was SO delicious albeit a bit expensive (25$ per roll). Lunenburg was beautiful as well and Jonathan was able to provide some great restaurant suggestions. We ate at Salt Shaker in Lunenburg and food was also great. Fish shack looked like they had good food as well. Not too much walking required for the day and you have free time to explore at each location. Overall super impressed with the tour and would definitely recommend!!

The tour of a lifetime!

This is simply the most excellent tour to do. Our tour guide, Jonathan was charming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He ensured that his passengers were comfortable, happy, and getting the most from this once in a lifetime experience. He provided facts and information about the places we visited, and made us laugh with humour. We visited Peggy's Cove first and he provided us with a good amount of time to see this breathtaking place. We made our way to Lunenburg following Peggy's Cove and had even more time to shop and explore this quintessentially quaint east coast town! There are many cute shops and places to have lunch. Jonathan gave us a bit extra time to soak in all the beauty! Lastly, we finished the tour in Mahone Bay with a short visit and walk through the town. Jonathan was really thoughtful to the passengers and provided a pituresque drive by taking a route that was a little off the beaten path. The trip was worth the cost and really was a once in a lifetime experience. Jonathan was friendly, fun, and thoughtful. We very much appreciated his flexibility on the tour in allowing us additional time and going beyond the 4:30 pm deadline. He routinely checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed. He put the passengers needs above his own, and he was primarily concerned with ensuring we got what we wanted out of the experience. Many thanks for making this a memorable and life changing experience! 10/10 recommend!
