we had a great time aboard few things out of there control was a lil bit of a let down but we can't control the weather overall was a great day out on the water crew are super nice ppl lunch was fresh was a great day definitely would book again to get the full experience next time thanks again team great job

Great half day trip

Great day trip, in the Hervey Bay (and Big Woody Island) surroundings. Given weather conditions, we weren’t able to go very far out, and closer to Fraser Island but still worth the half day. The local guides were great, very knowledgeable about the local native culture and wildlife. We visited Big Woody Island and were able to relax on a small island beach. Itinerary depends on weather conditions.

A fun educational day out on the water

What a friendly crew! Jo Jo our Butchulla guide was very knowledgeable and taught everyone in our family something new about the people of the area. We managed to walk around both islands we landed on. The first one had snorkeling, though you had to be brave to enter the water and sadly the visibility due to the recent floods wasn't great. It was still a fun experience and a safe place to teach our daughter how to snorkel. Round Island, the second Island was fantastic, so much variety of habitat on the one Island! Although sadly the larger marine animals did not show themselves, there were enough birds, crabs, and tiny fish to keep this nature loving family happy. It was a lovely peaceful, educational and entertaining day trip.

Interesting and very friendly informative tour. Guides were very knowledgable. Nice relaxing trip.. lunch was no fuss with lots of nibbles on tour.

Lovely day on the water

The trip was different to what we were expecting. There was not a lot of time off the boat as we changed to a larger vessel due to engine troubles in the smaller boat. We spent the majority of the day cruising looking for dolphins and turtles. We did see a dugong, some dolphins but no turtles. There was no time to snorkel apart from about 20 minutes when the boat dropped us off at a lovely island however there was nothing to look at except the sandy bottom. The larger boat was excellent for families with small children however it was dangerous exiting and entering the boat by jumping from the platform into the deep water. This would be entirely different in the smaller boat as it can pull up onto the sand. Overall we had a lovely day on the water, the crew were helpful and the local guide had excellent knowledge about the immediate area. If you are looking to spend time ashore to swim and snorkel then I would suggest that you speak to the operator first about where they are intending on taking the boat.

Thank you for your comments we truly appreciate the views of our guests. Our vessel the Milbi, was being fitted with new outboards, so rather than disappoint guests, we hired the other vessel. Whilst the vessel is fantastic in many ways, exiting the vessel for swimming was not perfect. I do remember the day well and we did have the most wonderful Dugong experience and the pod of 4-6 dolphins which was lovely. We did see a couple of turtles but they were only on the surface briefly and not everyone on the vessel saw them. Thats nature for you, nothing is on schedule or planned we just need to go with it. I do hope to see you back on the Fraser coast one day.

Thoroughly enjoyed this day out. Got a generous amount of time to do some snorkeling, informative and interesting commentary, Team were knowledgeable about the local area and very helpful. Even got a traditional welcome on Round Island by a local indigenous man. My advice. Book and go!

The two guides were very knowledgeable about many aspects of marine life and indigenous culture of the area. I can highly recommend this trip. In fact I wanted to go out again. However weather prevented that happening.

Very relaxing boat ride but really...

Very relaxing boat ride but really didn't get to see any turtles except a few heads popping up. Too much time on island and not enough animal action for me. Music selections were great!
