Guided Tour on a Budget

This tour is well worth every penny of it. It’s like having our own tour guide. We can go at our leisure, in our own car, and spend as much or as little time as we want. Beats sitting on a bus tour.

Perfect GPS-based audio guide for driving through the parks

This audio tour was invaluable during our visits to Arches and Canyonlands. We appreciated the historical elements, as well as the concise info about hiking distances and upcoming scenic outlooks. The real-time GPS map helped us know where we were at all times (and worked even when we seemed to have no cell service). The only drawbacks were that it seemed to be timed to older speed limits (we kept arriving at the next point faster than the app thought we would), and it would replay a segment while we were on a return route. But it these quirks were easily compensated for by manually controlling the playback. We barely glanced at the maps the park service gave us at the gate -- the app was all we really needed.

It was so nice to have a virtual private tour guide were we could go at our own pace. The app synched with GPS made it almost idiot proof. Didn’t have to think to much while enjoying.

Seeing the highlights of both parks in a relaxing drive. Appreciated the back story to the parks and the various sites much more than trying to glean the basic info from written material. The Parks's written material is more understandable after taking the audio tour.

Couldn’t get it to download for use at the park. Cell service was intermittent. Got tired of waiting for it so just went into the park.
