Rajamani was our guide and he did a great job customizing the hike to fit our interests and abilities. He is very knowledgeable about the local plants, and even managed to find us a wild passion fruit for us to taste.
I would highly recommend this experience for anyone visiting munnar

We booked the half day experience and are so glad that we did. Our guide, Veeno, was great - friendly, informative, good English (and taught us some key words in both Malayalam and Tamil). He made a point to take breaks as often as we needed and helped us capture some great photos without us even asking. Goes without saying that the views are beautiful and well worth the exercise! I would recommend anyone who is fit and able to do this walk and ask specifically for Veeno.

We hired a guide through Viator based on the reviews I had seen saying it was on private land. I also recommend having a guide as you do travel through tea plantations on both sides of mount Lakshmi as well as private land and a resort. We started on the lower side which is the way to go if you are looking for a real hike up the mountain. Our guide Vijay was very knowledgeable about the area, plants, & trees. He was one of the best guides we've had on our adventures. The views were stunning on our ascent and descent on the walk down to Munnar through the tea plantations.

Amazing half day experience with Vijay, a wonderful, knowledgable and patient guy. The tour company arranged for a tuk tuk to collect us from our hotel where we met with Vijay and commenced a hike up through tea plantations, to the ridge of a mountain, stopping for breakfast and then descending again through the most stunning tea plantations we have seen so far. A hike well worth the effort for the variety of nature at its finest and the spectacular scenery all around. Not to be missed on any visit to Munnar.

Our guide, Vijay was very good and the views were amazing. The two flags are (1) they said it would be max a group of 8 but we had closer to 12 (a few of whom slowed us down considerably) and (2) the booking says snacks included but we were told after we drank our tea that we owed money.

Vijay is knowledgeable and fun all around. Hike had great views and wasn't too difficult though it did have its moment on the inclines. My group was wonderful and I had a great time getting to know them. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Munnar!

Vijay was a great tour guide. Challenging hike for the first part, followed by viewing the tea plantations and a stop for some tea/coffee which was lovely. Would highly recommend!

Die Wanderung ist insgesamt gut zu schaffen und führt durch die schöne Landschaft von Munnar. Der Weg geht 2 Stunden nach oben und wieder herunter.
Man braucht keine richtigen Wanderschuhe, Trekkingschuhe aber schon. Sehr hoher Sonnenschutz ist extrem wichtig! Habe mir trotz LSF 50 einen Sonnenbrand zugezogen....
Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit dem Guide, der zwar sehr lieb war, aber doch etwas anstrengend in der Kommunikation. Auch ist er immer vorweg geeilt und ist nicht zusammen mit der Gruppe gelaufen.
Insgesamt aber trotzdem ein schönes Erlebnis!
