We had an EXCELLENT and Enjoyable experience at the Paina Waikiki Luau at the Marriott. The fresh Lei greeting along with one of the best Mai Tai's we've had since arriving on the island. The performance was outstanding! We highly recommend this amazing Luau experience! Mahalo!

Read this before you book!

The worst experience ever! I never felt like a cow to be slaughtered until I went there. It was horrible. We payed $178 times 4, to be treated as animals or worse. I felt as if I was in a Sci-Fi movie, not in the good way. You’re seated like in a jail, in those long tables, many people, your lucky if you can seat together if there are more than 2 of you. The food looks really cheap and bad quality as well. It suppose to be a buffet, but not variety or quantity at anll. Everything GMO. Don’t waste your money. Do not buy this Luau! Trust me, it is a RIP-OFF!

Great family feel

Me and my family had a great time. I THOUGHT this was on the beach but the beach was not needed. This event had a wonderful master of ceremonies, the band was excellent and the dancers were amazing. I loved how the MC have a complete history of Waikiki and his passion made the event memorable. I would highly recommend this event for future bookings.

Luau Time at the Marriott!

Great dinner and show! The entertainment was excellent and I enjoyed every performance. The host was a great singer as well with a sultry voice. The welcome Lai and drink was a nice touch. I would only suggest they upgrade to doing henna tattoos or simple transfer tattoos. They used markers so I decided against it. Thanks for a great time!

Very family friendly and convenient

Very family friendly and conveniently luau if you staying at the Waikiki Marriott resort. If you’re looking for something close to Waikiki beach without a 45 min bus ride/tour this is a nice option on the rooftop of the Marriott. If you looking for a more authentic dig the pig out of the ground type luau with all the traditional food then you probably want to do something like paradise cove. This was a nice prime rib buffet dinner with 1 hour of hula dancing and massive 30 minutes of fire dancing. Lei greeting and Live music. It’s great for a family with young children because it’s only about 2.5 hrs long including buffet/eating time.

Excellent time and wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and seemed like the dancers were really enjoying performing, this made my experience even better. Worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone interested in an engaging, fun experience. First time but I will be back.

Couples don’t miss this if staying at Waikiki!

Highly recommend for couples staying at Waikiki! Food was fantastic… best prime rib I’ve had in a long time and had vegan options too! Staff were friendly and attentive, VIP had waitress and best mixed drinks we had at the beach. Singer/hostess was fantastic and had incredible voice, created a lot of background introductions to each style of dance. Beautiful dancing. Get there early, get VIP tickets and you can get cushioned bench seating which was way more comfortable than folding wooden lawn chairs. They had a mini stage half way back in front of standard seating where 1 dancer danced each dance which was nice for photos/videos and meant no one had a bad seat. They did run out of flower leis for VIP experience but we got nut leis instead. If your heart is set on flower lei, get there early.

Nice luau

I’ve been to a LOT of luau’s. Yes, this one is small and not on the beach. But honestly it was one of my favorites. Compared to others food was really good and the show was more intimate and up close. And it was lower cost than most. Would come again.

Not worth your money

Not impressed at all. The dinner was buffet style and only one adult beverage included with our meal. We were expecting to see the traditional roasted hog which was not at all what we experienced. We did not find the “show” entertaining and the food was average. The “luau” was held in a hotel resort instead of beachside with a bone fire as a traditional luau would be held. We ended up leaving half way through the dinner. Extremely disappointed. This was definitely not worth the $350 we spent. Your money would be well spent some place else. I’d suggest a helicopter tour or parasailing as opposed to this imitation luau dinner.

Luaus are not permitted on the beach in Waikiki but we still aim to offer a true Hawaiian luau experience in a beautiful resort setting. We include a complimentary lei greeting and welcome Mai Tai upon arrival as well as tiered ticket options that include additional cocktails. While we don't serve roasted pig from a traditional imu, our buffet does feature many delicious Hawaiian dishes along with prime rib. Thank you once again for your feedback. We hope you enjoyed other parts of your Oahu experience and will consider giving us another chance in the future.

The show was fantastic. Cost was outrageous . Upon arrival we were told we bought show only for over $500 for 4 people. We were charged an additional $188 for the buffet. Not worth the money.
