Excellent tour

We had such a interesting tour, Maria our guide was very knowledgeable and knew every aspect of the history of Paestum. She is also a lovely lady. We were caught up in traffic and didn't make the tour that we had initially booked. Askos Tours were very accommodating and allowed us to go on a tour later that same day.

Our guide, Silvia, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, providing our small group considerable historical background on the site, the temples, etc. It was mentioned these are some of the best preserved temples, reviling those in Rome. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and felt it was well worth carving out time from our busy schedule to visit.

Ivan our guide was very knowledgeable about Paestum and its archeological past. He took as through the timelines of the Greek, the Lucanians and the Romans. We really recommend this tour as it gives an additional dimension to the way we understand and identify the history of the site.

We had an amazing time touring the site of Paestum with our archaeologist guide, Ivan. He brought the site to life with his wealth of information and warm personality. And because he has actually worked on the site and made archaeological discoveries the experience was made that much richer from his first hand stories.

FABULOUS! we stayed at Tenuta dei marigolda [spelling error im sure ]. Beautiful, I mean Beautiful, very small boutique hotel, very affordable, GREAT olive and cheese! And, the little town, 10 minute walk from archeologist Park, charming! Dinner restaurants open at 7pm ish, and the one we ate at, with fab meats displayed, called Antichemura, specialty venison, rabbit, steaks, Buffalo, pasta, and WINES! It's a definite! Askos tours, we had a small group of 8, OUT OF THIS WORLD! Guide, very knowledgeable and we grateful. Tours come by the bus load, we definitely recommend small group tour! And see the museum at end of tour. Our pics are amazing, and a one in a lifetime experience!

The ruins are amazing. And our guide Mario was very knowledgeable of the site and the history of the area. And we got to see the Tomb of the Diver. These are the best preserved Greek Temples in the world.

What a great tour. We had some difficulty finding the starting location and he reached out to assist. Mario provided a clear explanation and informative explanation of the history of the site. We were extremely excited and lucky that the museum had just reopened after a long renovation. Mario made sure we saw “the diver” which is an important relic.

I learned so much of the Greek and Roman times from Sylvia, our guide. She made it interesting and covered the vast history of Greek and Roman inhabitants of Paestum. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was amazing, my guide was full of enthusiasm. He went into great detail the history of the period through Greek and Roman periods. These ruins pre-date Pompeii.. It was great having a guide explaining the area.
