Our guide was amazing. Funny and very knowledgeable. We had someone who had knee problems and he was very good at helping him out and going slow. The ruins were amazing and it was nice to have someone explain them to us. The cave floating was so much fun and so beautiful. I would definitely do this again.

This was an amazing tour. My husband and I were delighted to realize it was just us and Elio, the guide. We spent the morning walking through Xunantunich. We were early enough at the site that we largely had it to ourselves. Elio knew an incredible amount about the history and culture of the site. Where the tour was really amazing though was in the caves. Elio took us off on an adventure where we got to explore special parts of the cave at our own pace. I strongly recommend this tour and Elio as a guide.

We did many different tours while in Belize and this one was the most fun and interesting one we experienced. You will likely get Elio, who I will say is an amazing guide. He is one of the best I’ve had a chance to go with and he is full of knowledge about the history, plants, and animals in the area.

Amazing adventure! Elio is an exceptionally knowledgeable, and hilarious, guide. Book this tour. You will not regret it! Some people were telling us we could just take a taxi to visit Xunantunich on our own, but I’m so happy we didn’t. Having additional context from Elio to understand the site made the visit much more impactful. I think this tour was the perfect combination of education and adventure. : )

We had a fantastic day with Elio! He was knowledgeable and funny and made sure we all had a great time! The tour was amazing! We learned a lot about Xunantunich and saw some monkeys. The cave tubing was our favorite part! It was great getting to explore and float around.

We were in Belize 2.5 weeks and this was by far our favorite tour. Elio was an 5 star guide sharing the interesting history of the Mayans, information about local plants and animals and guided us through an amazing cave experience. I would not hesitate to book this tour. Fantastic!

Amazing! but bring water shoes

Great experience!!! Highly recommend and learned lots about Mayan culture. Tip: you absolutely must wear water shoes or good shoes you can get wet on the inner tube. You will walk in the water in the cave on rocks that will hurt your feet. You can rent water shoes there for about $3 USD. You can’t bring anything on inner tube. Lunch was delicious.

Incredible experience

We went on this tour as a group of 4, and had the BEST time. It ended up only being a group of 6 in total and our guide was Elio. Elio was INCREDIBLE. He not only drove us and told us about the history of the area, but he was our guide through both the ruins and the caves. He was so accommodating and knowledgeable and showed us things like tarantulas, leaf-cutting ants and termites! He went above-and-beyond to make this an incredible tour from start to finish and it was by far one of the best experiences we had in Belize, especially thanks to Elio. 10/10 recommend.

This was a wonderful experience & the memories will last a lifetime. Our guide, Elliott, was funny & full of great information he shared with passion throughout the tour. We also loved his dad jokes. Lunch was very good. Both Xunantunich & Cave Tubing were well worth it. The Mayan Ruins were beautiful & the caves were fun to explore. It was neat to see artifacts up on the rocks & jump off into the pools. I’m so glad we went on this tour!

Elio was a fantastic guide! He was beyond knowledgable and could answer every question even if unrelated to the cave or Mayan ruins. He shared personal stories and showed us a bunch of extra points I’m not sure if I would’ve seen with any other company. He was encouraging throughout the tough parts of the experience and kept everyone laughing the whole day. This trip does require you be in moderate shape so just keep that in mind when booking. You will be in the tube, but also a small hike carrying the tube, swimming, some rock climbing, and a small jump into the water.

Weather uncooperative, but had a fun day anyway!

Although we were unable to do the original activities (Mother Nature was uncooperative), our tour guide was flexible and accomodating. We had the option to do a different ruins and horseback riding instead, which we took. Really fun day trip! A little different and shorter than anticipated, but with the weather closing our other destinations it was a good compromise. Had a fun day, ate good food, learned a lot of Mayan history! Would definitely recommend.

The perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Elio was incredible! Took us to locations all other tour groups didn’t even go to during our tour, including a cenote and a Mayan sacrifice site. He took the best photos and knew the best vantage points for them. Definitely ask for him if you are doing this tour!
