Bra tid i tuffa tider

Med tanke på alla de ständigt föränderliga reglerna kring Covid 19, var utflykten ganska rolig och avslappnad\n Vi alla 8 blandade väl, de 3 vingårdarna var väl utvalda och provningarna utanför var mycket natursköna och avkopplande. Detta var min andra resa med Santa Barbara Wine Tours. Ett stort värde för en hel dag som inkluderade lunch och provsmakning avgifter.

The Tour Guide was super nice and helpful! The first vineyard called Vega, it was nice and a good variety of food and wine. The second and third did not have food and wine was so so but we still had lots of fun with our group. It will be nice if they actually tour in the vineyards and kind of show us how the make the wine, etc. Also, it will be nice to have food and snacks options, especially if you are wine tasting! Overall great experience.

My wife and I were in a fairly large group (13 total), but our tour guide, Sunny, made it feel really intimate and nice. She was great! We had some rain forecasted for the day so Sunny and team had to make decisions the morning of to make sure we all had a great experience. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Sunny.

Our group of four friends had a great day with Johannes. From pick up to drop back, he was professional, really knowledgeable and fun throughout. The three wineries we visited were all beautiful venues with multiple tastings at each and good service everywhere. Our pre ordered lunch was great too. It really was a perfect day, thank you.

Johannes, our tour guide and sommelier for the day was excellent. Learning about the topography and viticulture was a great experience. Johannes was knowledgeable, and exciting to listen to. We found decent wine at each place we stopped, but the quality of wine in Santa Barbara is certainly better than some of what we experienced. My only critique would be to bring guests to more established estates.

We loved the vineyard tours, we got to visit the Santa ynez valley and try wines from smaller wineries which you wouldn’t be able to try elsewhere.

My son and I visited California for the first time from Florida. A wine tour was on my bucket list and I hoped picked a good one. Well, I did!! Sunny was our driver, and tour guide and was so fantastic. She honestly made the trip and I can't imagine having the same experience with someone else. She was knowledgeable, professional, upbeat and so relaxed. My son (21) could not name one white wine or had a clue about wines in general. She never made him feel like he asked stupid questions, she actually encouraged him to continue asking questions. We both expected our tour guide to be a snooty wine snob. Clearly, we were wrong. Sunny taught us so many things from the geography of the area to the vineyards, the proper temperatures of wine, and how the grapes are harvested. The stops we made were so pretty and the lunch was very good as well. The first stop blew me away, I joined the wine club and look forward to my order arriving. Honestly, stop looking and book with SUNNY she is so special, you will not regret it. Cheers!

Great trip to three wineries. Guide was excellent. We also had a nice lunch, unexpectedly nice weather and a chance to walk around some of the small towns. Very happy we did this as it would have been difficult to drive back after the tastings.

The tour was okay. On a scale of 1-10, we’d rate it a 5. For the amount paid for the tour, we expected a much nicer mode of transport (which isn’t the driver’s fault). Johannes is extremely knowledgeable about wine and the California terrain. He is also kind & played good music. The first stop had good wine but the state of the property was old and not well kept. The olive oil tasting was good & it was much needed. The third stop was nice, had good wine, and the lunch was delicious. Beautiful property too. The last stop was good, but Saarloos & Son’s was short staffed so the experience wasn’t what we expected. We ended up having wine served as a flight and all cupcakes given to us at once. No explanation of pairings or anything. We also didn’t need as much time at the last location.
