Fantastic Private Tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum

This tour was great. Our guide Fabrizio was very knowledgeable and personable. We saw all of the highlights and had a wonderful lunch at a beautiful local winery. Fabrizio answered all of our questions and was great at communicating prior to the tour when we contacted him. There is so much to see at these sites that it is really important you have a guide to show you around. I highly recommend.

The best way to see Pompeii!

We had an incredible time with Fabrizio! We spent about two hours at each site and Fabrizio moved us around quickly and efficiently to see as much as we could! I loved seeing the Temple of Isis and he was excellent at relating everything back to what we saw in the Archeological museum in Naples.

It was a pleasure to spend the day with Fabrizio. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. More than just a guide. He answered every question effortlessly. In addition, he contacted us ahead of time to make sure that everything was handled. Also, he came prepared and had waters handy. He made sure that we were comfortable and informed. Well worth the money!

Fabrizio is so friendly, laid-back and knowledgeable (and a perfect English-speaker) that it’s hard to imagine not having a good time. It was fiercely hot when we went but the complaints were minimal from my teenagers. Fabrizio listened to what we wanted to do and adjusted the itinerary accordingly, moving quickly at first so we could see things before the crowds caught up and then slowing down and cutting bits as we flagged. We learned so much and had so much fun. Who knew there were (at least) 28 brothels in Pompeii or that the Romans thought up the idea of cats’ eyes two thousand years before anyone else. Thoroughly recommended!

What a fantastic day with Fabrizio. He is very knownlegable on Pompeii and Herculaneum from his archaeolist background and his years of interfacing with people on giving tours makes the package outstanding. This is so much more informative than wlaking around with a map and brochure. He gives you the insight to the ancient history of the culture of that time.

Incredibly Knowledgeable Guide

Our tour guide was Febrizio (from Leisure Italy). He took us on a tour of the Roman ruins at Pompeii and Herculaneum. He was fantastic, and so incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much! There was so much to see. He customized our itinerary based on our top priorities, but also had some great suggestions for hidden gems and things that shouldn’t be missed. I will definitely be calling him for another tour the next time we are in town.

Fabrizio was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable, interacted wonderfully with kids and adults, even with my jet lagged boys. Able to provide rich, detailed explanations to bring history alive. Able to adjust routes through sites on the fly to avoid crowds. Would book with him again without question the next time I am in Naples.

Fabrizio was an amazing guide. He picked us up in Positano, drove us to Pompeii and gave an incredible tour of the ruins. Then we drove to the vineyard and had an outstanding tour, lunch and wine tasting. We topped off the day at Herculaneum with another incredible tour! Fabrizio is so knowledgeable and we had such fun learning and conversing with him. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

An amazing experience with the great tour guide that is Fabrizio. Fabrizio arrived to to our hotel ready and prepared, he offered water to us throughout our tour and had lots of useful information about our tour/day at Pompei. We had a 2 year old with us and he was always so considerate to our particular needs as well as making sure to assist us in the best way possible which is highly appreciated! He was always ready to answer ALL our questions even when some of these am sure didn’t always make sense:). A well rounded tour that I would recommend to anyone as Fabrizio is soo knowledgeable, experienced in his field & beyond but also soo welcoming during our time with him throughout the day. Thank you Fabrizio for an amazing tour and for sharing both your experience with us on the various history & for taking so well care of us from the beginning to the end! Would recommend everyone to do this tour and choose Fabrizio as a guide if you have the option. Also his English is too notch!!

Fabrizzo was kind, engaging and accommodating. He made this an experience of a lifetime. He had an excellent command of English and was able to bring history to life. If you want to tour these sites, definitely do it with Fabrizzio.

We had SUCH a great time doing this tour with Fabrizio as our guide. He was very informative and knew so much about the history of both Pompeii and Herculaneum. He tailored the tour to fit all of us in the group—myself, my husband, and my mom (who know very little about history), in addition to my dad (who is somewhat of a history expert). We all got so much out of it. He did an excellent job managing time, making sure we got to see the highlights of everything. Fabrizio was also super friendly and easy to talk to. And he gave us many great local recommendations and taught us a lot about Italian culture. To top it all off, the van was very nice and comfortable. Definitely recommend that everyone visiting Southern Italy do this tour. We will definitely do more tours with Fabrizio when we return! 10/10!

Fabrizio was one of our favorite tour guides ever. He had a ton of knowledge about the sites and explained everything thoroughly. His anecdotes were so interesting! He also made sure we got to see everything worth seeing in a place that you could easily spend days in. He was also super nice and a pleasure to hang out with. Thank you Fabrizio!

The perfect tour

I am so glad we found this tour! We were 7 friends and all of us were super happy with our guide and the whole tour. We were picked up in a very comfortable van, the guide told us so many interesting things already on the way to Pompeii. He asked us what we would like to see and do most and kept our moods up at all times. The tour was very interesting and the guide knew probably everything there is to know about the whole area. We learned so much! Time flew by and we we'rent bored or tired for one second. Lunch and wine were also a very good addition to the day, definitely recommend the whole package.

Fabrizio was an excellent guide. He gauged our interest levels and applied his immense knowledge. As it was especially he kept checking our comfort level and made effort where possible to get us some shade. Lunch at the vineyard was beyond our expectations - simple, good quality ingredients that tasted delicious.

Amazing day with Fabrizio

We got picked up from our hotel in Sorrento and had an amazing day at both Pompeii and Herculaneum. It was good to do both sites in one day to see the differences between them and the effects the eruption had on them. The wine tasting and lunch was a welcome break from the heat!! Fabrizio was fantastic and an excellent historian and made both sites come alive with his knowledge and descriptions. It was good to do a small private tour as we could go at our own pace and spend how long we wanted at each place. We would really recommend Fabrizio and this tour to everyone.
